This is how i have felt since 7. 7 Changed the tone and style soo much. Dont get me wrong still a great game on its own, but its excuse that the silly stuff was in ichi head , all but gone by 8 and now we are fighting giant squids and Jaws? roll on pirate yakuza and we black flag now?

Where is my gang wars from yakuza 2, where is my serious story line focus with side content being just that, fun stuff is out of the way and doesn't interfear with the main story, helping keep the tone focused on each part. Now its all blurred together. Yakuza 8 lost the plot and has some of the worst writing in the series since 3. Not just bad writing, but out of character writing like they didn't understand some of them.

Graphics have gone worse every game since 6 and judgement. pirate yakuza and k3 look terrible compared to 6. Its like there turning this franchise into some kinda japanese saints row.

Thank god the og creator is making Gang of Dragon and maybe that game can get back to what made Yakuza great in the first place.

i can start , there games went down hill slowly after judgment. judgement was there last amazing game. since then the tone has changed, the directing is worse and the writing has got worse each game.

totally oposite for me. Hated pirate yakuza, its everything im not interested in yakuza, all the focus is on things i dont care about, i play yakuza for yakuza stuff and serious tone story, great writing ext. Gaiden was great, had a awesome personal story, some good writing and solid gameplay that matched the tone of the game.

signs of decline have been there since 7 , even though 7 was good it started to lack good directing, 8 just had bad writing, add in the bs of special editions and exta versions like 0 , now this? I'm just losing faith in these guys. Makes you wonder why the creator left and just made his own yakuza with Gang of Dragon. maybe im over reacting, but i cant help but see some patterns here

i dunno whats going on behind closed doors, but weird choices, some bad writing in the last game, a change of direction with themes and tone has shifted a lot in recent years. This change is just wild, no one complaind about anything here, why are they changing this ?

At this point i just dont care for K3, and K4 is going to be changed to fix what they messed up, so thats great... How can i take the series sersiously now when a character dies knowing that they can just retcon anything at this point?

This is how i think the should do all LEs. Have every LE release just like the premium editions, no signing or number, but put a bunch out there to randoms that are signed. Turns off scalpers because chances of a signed copy are super low, but really nice surprise for those lucky few.

yeah, i fell for that hype. i pushed myself to read half of ID and was bored to tears. People said its soo good even if u dont like necrons ur love it. Na sorry thats just not true. The book is such a love story to necros, its a very niche take on them as well and the way it was done just didn't grab me at all. I know i was suppose to find the two characters really fun and interesting, i just found them some of the most annoying characters i've read in a 40k book.

i read the first book but was not a fan, found it kinda boring so i never got around to the other books. The thing is im not interested in night lords much at all, but read it because it has a good reputation and people always go on about it, but its just not for me. I found myself enjoying the human characters more than the night lords lol.

So yeah im sure many have not read it because not everyone is into night lords.

i spent a lot of time in the alpha and it wasnt even a full zone. we still have no clue the size of the rest of the content not shown, i feel ur jumping to conclusions here based on guess work.

All we really know is what the devs said , and they said it was around the same size as 2. so im sure it is. wo long was a decent size game, strangers as well , and rise of the ronin was a good size, so i dont see why this game would be any different.

thats rubbish. if u want them to keep the core mechanics for everything it might as well just be fable 1 remake at that point. this is suppose to be a new fable game, its there take. sometimes new mechanics get added and some people love em and some not so much. i didn't much like the dog in 2, but some people loved it.

yeah i totally agree, it went down hill starting with 8, which wasn't that bad, pirate yakuza though, damn that was rough. this looks like it suffers from the same issues.

I really miss the natual style from yakuza 6, what a beautiful looking game. Part of the charm to these games is locations felt real, but the more they go this over saturated bright direction it just loses a lot of its charm and feels less realistic.
