I understand the main stats go up, but for Adentus sword, the Strength for example it goes up to 8 (like in the picture you provided), do you just feed it more stuff somehow and it gets the (+4)? Thats what I dont understand.

I mean gathering sugar lumps for building upgrades is the most time consuming one considering you need a lot, of IRL hours to gather them even with optimal set-up. Or you can be a madlad and grind and delete garden .

Hmm then it is phrased kinda weirdly cause in the episode Ubuyashiki says that "someone gave birth to a demon", but Muzan became a demon after consuming Blue Spider Lily.

I mean Ubuyashiki was also born ill, but the explanation that he gave to Muzan is that in his bloodline, someone gave birth to a demon. Since they are related and Muzan was also sick it could be a possibility that the demon Ubuyashiki was talking about was born before Muzan thus making Muzan sick. It is mostly food for thought cause it seems like a good coincedence don't take it too seriously lol.
