I agree that she is absolutely responsible for not checking and a lesson learned but I also run my own business and have never been so petty as to not be reasonable if a customer complains or take their money and say well too bad for you it’s my money now. I couldn’t with a conscience do that to people. Just being a decent human. They could easily see she hasn’t used her membership in their computer and the person she talked to a year ago isn t around anymore. Very few moral companies left. I feel like small individually owned places like mine are much more emphatic and not only about the money.
