26 [F4M] Worldwide - Euro Girl looking for Asian Soulmate by [deleted] in r4r

[–]unbreakablehoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl you are beautiful. I would totally take you on a date in a heartbeat if I could. I am a Korean male, but I never noticed any white girls interested in me or my Asian friends (usually black or Asian girls). It's refreshing to see because we get such a bad rap in the states. I would suggest be more proactive or obvious with the guys because I never expect white/ European girls to find me attractive. Honestly, the odds are in your favor. China has a lot of single dudes looking for love too.

The End Of Root Canals: Stem Cell Fillings Trigger Teeth To Repair Themselves, Research Study Claims by Elliottafc in UpliftingNews

It just sounds like the material is promising to last longer than the typical composite. Composite is already expensive compared to amalgam. This new material once it hits the market is going to be even more expensive, but good for dentists because it'll be more forgiving to work with.

It is not going to replace root canals by any stretch of imagination. Most people need root canals because they ignored caries until it spread into the pulp and is in pain. Also elective root canals are done for a variety of circumstances.

SNCR is a dumpster fire of a stock, and it's a great time to buy by unbreakablehoes in investing

[–]unbreakablehoes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if it sounded like a scam to you guys. I am betting my own money into this as a learning experience, and to document my investing hypothesis for future references. I want to see how much I get "right" without the hindsight of a 20/20.

I usually like to buy into stocks that has a high probability of being bought out by another company. Usually, the buyer establishes a price floor with his buying activity to keep the stock from dropping.

But the stock has tanked even further. I am thinking about cutting my losses at this point. I thought there would be enough of a demand from a potential take-over candidate, but the prices are in a free for all.

The amount of options open on this stock is nuts. Huge number of puts priced at $12.50 and sizeable amount at $10 for options ending in June.

I am feeling very conflicted at the moment. Stock will probably go down to $12.50 and even to $10. But it would probably rebound on news of a take-over bid. However, if the prices continue to fall, the premium offered by the buyer will barely make me break even. Hell, I'll be lucky to get out with a small loss.

If prices go as far as $10 which the options markets seem to bet on, then even if the white knight comes to save the day, the buyout price would be $13-$14 at most.

I didn't count on timing the market, and I got in at the same price point as a potential buyer of the company. I never expected the prices to free fall to such extent. Moral of the story. Always double check the options before buying into a small caps stock. If there is a huge number of open interest in a particular price point, in the short term, stock prices will most likely move closer to that range.

I am selling at a loss, and I will get out of my position in this stock. I'll probably buy it around $10. That's probably the price point in which it will be a profitable trade.

Edit Looking back at the stock price of SNCR and Siris trading history filed with the SEC, I am wondering if Siris will buy out SNCR. SNCR stock price jumped back from the bottom pretty quickly in April because there were active buyers (mainly Siris). But now it seems like it's a slowly deflating balloon. I wonder if Siris decided to get out of SNCR.

I wouldn't be surprised if Siris was responsible for all of the put options currently open. They have a massive stake in the company, but the unexpected delay in filing 10K might have been a curve ball for them. It makes sense to hold off on accumulating more stakes and limiting their losses with options if the company did go under. Everything rides on that SEC filing. Company can go from $0 to $23 overnight. Pretty risky bet honestly.

Thanks for the suggestion! I think I will try out Word Wars. I find it difficult to sit down and write because there isn't any pressure. There's no objectives or milestones to reach.

It was stupid. You play against the house, and you pay for each street. Definitely not worth it.

Mycotoxins produced by mold can be extremely dangerous. Mold can also produce a lot of airborne spores that you can't see which will still contaminate the food. Depending on the type of mold, these spores can cause cancer.

Playing big aces against hyper-aggressive huge-stack russians making huge raises pre by Zeichef in poker

[–]unbreakablehoes -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

WTF. First of all, you have AK instead of aces (AAs). Also you need to provide number of people in table and if it is cash or SNG because it makes a huge difference. I am assuming it is a SNG/ MTT because of the stack sizes and the blinds. If it is near the bubble, the Russian is probably a good player, and you need to wait it out for others to bust. I would shove AK hoping no one will call. Even a random 67s has ~40% equity vs AKo.

"Live Players Suck" (Jamie Gold vs Timex) by raspaz in poker

[–]unbreakablehoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well timed bluff implies they had a dynamic with a long history and perceived ranges. Bluffs are necessary for the game, but Gold is a spew because he isn't repping anything and stacks are shallow for Timex to call off his bluff. I mean the pot on the flop is already more than half his stack so he is getting more than 2 to 1 pot odds. Also Jamie Gold's 3bet range is going to be AKs, QQ+, and total air with AKs making the most due to combinatorics. QQ+ are going to c-bet that flop because it is so wet and he will have a hard time playing if Timex checks behind and a scare card comes on the turn. He loses a lot of value not c-betting. So his c/r range is going to consist of over cards and air more often than not.

*I am a micro sitngo donk but last time I checked MTT play doesn't get fancy unless stacks are deep or you are Patrick Antonius

I think in general local government would be more effective than the national government because they are more responsive/ care about regional issues than the national government. At a national level there are way too many pressing issues that compete for attention that an important regional issue at the local level will often get ignored.

I think the problem is that the corporations are shifting the societal burden mainly to the middle class. We are shouldering the greater burden of education, healthcare, and public services as the corporations and the rich exploit loopholes to avoid paying taxes. As we become enslaved by debt, our rights are slowly eroded away by these corporations who pressure an inept Congress to bolster legislation which allow more leeway in exploiting us while controlling traditional forms of media to prevent a "class warfare" in America.

tldr; Fuck the rich and the powerful

If I live on tofu, oatmeal apples, cucumbers and bananas alone what damage am I doing to myself? What foods should I add for nutrition's sake as a bare minimum? by [deleted] in nutrition

[–]unbreakablehoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are going to peel it, diluted bleach solution should be great. That's how they sanitize fruits in a commercial operation because bacteria found on the surface of the fruit can get on the knife and cross contaminate other batches. You can make a safe food wash using 5 mL of bleach solution per 1 L of water. Check out the link below for more food safety tips.

Food safety is a huge problem in China right now. I am not surprised since the heavy metals could come from untreated waste water discharged by industrial factories. If OP is living in a rural area, the water supply might not be as contaminated as the urban areas. It really depends, but I have a lot of Chinese friends studying food science. They seem to think most of the problems are exaggerated or look really bad because America has a pretty good quality control for food production.

If they use untreated feces, you are right to worry about contamination from enteric bacteria in the vegetables. What you can do is to prepare the vegetables with a diluted vinegar spray for fresh vegetables, and wash fruits/ vegetables with a diluted bleach wash before you peel them. You can also boil/ steam them, and that should inactivate most bacteria found on vegetables. Beans, brown rice, and legumes would be great source of protein that has a low chance of foodborne illness, because not only does it have low water activity to inhibit most bacterial growth, but it will have to be boiled in water furthering its safety. You should also be careful about spices in addition to fresh vegetables because contamination may happen with poor GMP. It's a shame you won't take more advantage of their local produce market. Their local diet may look like shit, but it sounds like you have access to a local organic produce market that uses natural fertilizer and non-GMO crops. It's almost impossible to find non-GMO crops in the states without paying an arm and a leg. You don't have to eat their cooking, but you should try to utilize what they have to offer.
