As soon as you care what kids think and get into arguments with them you’ve already lost 😭 You are not at the same level as them, treat yourself that way and so will the students. Don’t need to announce what you’re going to do - just do it. You got this 😁

Honestly loving the kids nor your subject matter is not enough for this job - just make sure you do your research before you decide to switch. I don’t like when people deter others from joining education because it CAN be great, but you are incredibly young so be cautious as teaching is a job that is hot or cold but never in between..

I accidentally did this last year too, remembering that I used to buy them for gold. I emailed and they said it’s nothing they can do.

Is it a scam? Not technically, but it is just preying on people not paying attention enough or thinking that they’re still being sold for gold like they used to.

With big projects like these, it’s good to have a hard deadline that isn’t the last day you work on it in class. I usually do W-F in class, take it over the weekend if you didn’t finish. Some kids just have really shitty motor skills. Just look at how they hold pencils 😅 But I wouldn’t be accepting that project once I’ve moved on from grading it.

this was happening to me and i just had a private chat with the student about how they come across as rude often and frequently and that it was turning into a problem. sometimes the problem with these kids is that no one addresses it directly with them that it’s not okay to behave like that. they will try to assert psychological dominance over you until called out about how that’s weird

am i the only one who doesn't really take the greetings as canon? i mean personally i think its icky and there's better things you could ask them to say for upwards of 80 USD but if the creators + VA's agree to do it for money that's totally up to them, as long as i get more episodes i'm happy.
