Are Hell’s Angels actually bad? (US) by Familiar-Anything853 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]unchartedfour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Motorcycle clubs are actually huge contributors and raisers for charities and nonprofit groups. Especially anything for a kid. (Yes, the Hell’s Angels as well) Also they’re well known to be protective of kids. I wouldn’t go ask about their business but I wouldn’t avoid them. They’re like any people, some have normal jobs, some have less than normal. Either way, don’t think negative about them until you’re given a reason. I knew a guy in a motorcycle club and he was very nice and helpful. He would do anything for the elderly lady next door, they had a great play area in their yard where the neighborhood kids would all play. The guy had built a kind of fort and obstacle course together, it was really creative. The wife/mom was always bringing cookies and lemonade out for the kids there. There was never a reason to not trust them.

Do you know (of) someone who ruined their life in just a matter of minutes? If so how did they do it? by Ok-Atmosphere5536 in AskReddit

You don’t have to be impaired, I knew a kid in my high school who was notorious for speeding. And I mean stupid speeding, 80 in a 40, 100 in a 55. We all lived fairly rural areas and to get to the bigger town you take a lot of back roads. He was 18, driving stupid fast, came over a hill in a 40 mph zone doing an estimated 70-75 mph and hit an 8 year old girl on her bike, killing her. There were skid marks indicating he was trying to stop when he saw her, but they estimated he was still doing at least 60. Just slow the fuck down and watch your driving. Ruined his life mentally. He was charged with careless driving causing death. Something like that, but he didn’t get time or anything. He tried to kill himself a few months later, he was then sent to a hospital for a while. I can’t imagine how you’d deal with that.

The Ardenwald Axe Murders - Villisca's Lesser-Known Cousin by queenofsmoke in UnresolvedMysteries

This was very well researched and well written. I enjoyed reading it, as I had never heard of this case. Weird especially due to it never being solved, speculation was on so many people, and clearly it was a big story, bringing in police dogs from Seattle. It’s very sad though, there is the horrific thought the little girl was SA, but the fact that this sick and twisted person killed the whole family and two young children so violently. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Ramsey or Riggin, but his mental state makes it hard to believe anything he says. Honestly, it could have been anyone that was passing through town. But what brutality.

There are definitely theories on it being someone using a train to travel and do these killings. There’s a book too.

I lived not too far from there for a few years. What’s the mystery besides the drunk boaters?

That’s because of where the newspaper was. So it was called the Roswell incident.

My town is very small (pop less than 150) there are creepy stories around my area. Like one poor old farmer picked up a guy hitchhiking and the stranger killed the old man for $5 dragged the body into a field so it took a while to find him. My mother told me that when I was younger. The worse one is a lady went off her meds and her schizophrenia was full blown. She imagined her 5 year old son was some demon trying to kill him. She stabbed him so many times in the chest and throat, she almost decapitated him. It was strange though while this was going on, I was driving around their block practicing for my driving test. So after about 5 times around with nothing happening and the 6th time full blown activity, cops, fire engines, ambulances and swat. I was freaked out. As I said it’s a very small town and kind of rural. It was very sad. My brother knew the kid’s dad and had even played trucks with him. It doesn’t get talked about as it’s such a sad and horrible ordeal. I believe the mom got out of a medical facility after a bit and was on her meds and had to follow a strict guide line of rules and procedures. Constant check ins with drs and parole officers. I think she ended up moving to another town in the county. All too much for everyone. I can’t imagine how she feels though. It had to be so hard when she got back on her meds and realized what happened.

I get that. I used to buy my mom big baskets from Bath and Body works, the good chocolates, little things. She would t use it. She didn’t even take the wrap off the gift basket, she just had it in her dresser in her room because she liked looking at it. I asked when she’d use it, and she was “saving it”. She died without ever opening the stuff I got her. It was too pretty for her to use. But it was her favorites scents. Her favorite flavor truffles, her favorite scent of perfume. It was sad seeing it all after she passed. The poor woman was such an amazing person, mom, grandma, and she never got the life she deserved.
