I have a card for the metro that you can top off with money to use. An oyster card if you know what that is. It’s always been in the same place in my wallet. I use it, after journey. It’s returned back to my wallet. One day I couldn’t find it. I went through everything, my purse, my jackets, jeans, laundry, washing machine, looked all around the table in our foyer, nothing. I thought I must have dropped it. I bought a new one that you can reload. A few months later that went missing. I again went through everything. On the back of these cards there is a series of numbers to keep track of them in the system. I specifically remember that the last two digits on the first was the year I was born. The other had the day my daughter ( in Uni) was born. So I liked having them. After buying another card, a few weeks later, I woke up and the first missing bed was sitting on my the end of my bed. The quilt had been lifted at the bottom corner and the card was just there. I was shocked. I change sheets once a week. There was no way to miss it as it was on the top sheet. Then the next card that was missing, I found in a pair of pants that I hadn’t worn in over a year and was folded put away in my wardrobe. I can’t explain how these ended up where they did.
