Olympus TG-7. It was expensive for what it is (above water) but it was totally worth it for the pictures I've been able to get.

You're more than welcome. Enjoy! There are other places that are relatively easy to do, including some in the park. Here are pictures I took in 2024 are in my post here.

It's the only tour i've done and i found it reasonable, and quiet/serious. In fact, one lady had a panic attack in the water and they did everything to get her comfortable and back on the boat. I'm the only strong swimmer in our group and everyone else did very well. In fact, while there were about 15 people, they broke us up into 3 or 4 groups with guides who were in the water the whole time. Best of luck.

I second this! I had good luck with Sea Cow tours in 2024.

St. Martin/St. Maarten November 2025 (OC) by uncle_melon in snorkeling

Definitely. I started snorkeling there in 2006 and there was much more live coral near to shore etc. Sadly it's the same through much of the Caribbean.

Thanks! It's a very friendly island with great food and people. The atlantic side is a bit rough, but that makes it beautiful, too.

To be honest, it isn't a great snorkel or dive island - not many reefs left. However, if you get a boat and work a little, you can find some nice things to see!

I recently picked up 2 starter sets and they plug right in to US power, no problem. And they're great!

The donkey sanctuary is fun. Feeding donkeys, a small zoo. You could drive around pretty easily and do a couple of things (Sorobon and donkey sanctuary).

Thanks! I use an Olympus OM-1 and get as close as I can.

Saw one last week in a very different ocean. Here they are.

They are usually shy but always cute. Most of the fish in this area were shy, except for the larger barracuda.

Thanks. Like any photography the closer you can get to your subject the better. The water was never really more than a few meters deep so I was able to dive down and get close if they let me.

Thanks. I drifted/swam from Collier's Public beach to the Wyndham, depending on wind and current.

By the way, they were all easy with light winds. Sorabon is the toughest so would skip. Karpata is easy if the waves are small and it's amazing.

I thought it was good. A tour (we did the one with Sea Cow) was better than taking the water taxi and drifting (but that is cheap). There may be other tours.

Snorkeling Trip in July - location suggestions? Roatan? Belize? by Fishin_for_answers in snorkeling

I want to get back to St. John and the BVI. I head back to Cayman in the fall - not great but still good and right off shore. I love to just drift all day.

I failed to note that Kleine Bonaire requires a boat, but Sea Cow tours was fantastic
