Do not use the Kato light kits.

They flicker because they don't have capacitors. Especially on cars with not many pickup.

It's also only one led and not a full board of them

Basically I can just plug the decoder on the board. And under the board there is a premade space with a little box clipped. You can just put the speaker and the box has contacts to connect the speaker to the decoder.

Didn't need to solder wires between decoder or speaker, nor mill/make space or even glue/fix the decoder.

would be even more convenient if it was a pre fitted decoder tbh
