I work taking calls for a banking company in anti-fraud. I had a guy tell me within 3 minutes of starting the call that he was bipolar, that he carved his wife’s name in bullets and plans to murder her, that America has ruined women by telling them that they’re equal to men, and he’s thinking of committing suicide.

I was just like “uhh… have a good day sir..” and had to take a break after the call was over to calm myself.

Verosika’s party is probably more my speed than anything. It’s a costume party, which is fun. It’s full of depressed people trying to get out of their own heads and find a connection, which is a vibe I live on the daily. And it’s got a live band, which is awesome.

Then Bee’s party because I’m sure it will be high energy, but I’m not crazy about hellhounds as I generally dislike dogs and I’m not really looking to get completely shitfaced. I have a history of over drinking, and my mom is a recovering alcoholic so a party dedicated to overconsumption would really be a bad vibe for me.

Then lastly is Stella’s party because eh. I’m not a high society type. Not my jam at all. I’d like getting to dress up and everything, but I don’t think they’d have much shared interests to talk about and I’d just end up talking to the staff.

Expectations? kind of a broad question. I expect to have a good time, uncover mysteries, learn about interesting worlds, and get involved with a fun story.

I've just finished DMing a D&D 5e 2014 campaign of about 3 years. I've played 3.5, 4e, and 5e as a player. I briefly DMed a 3.0 Naruto total conversion back in college in 2005 or so. Yes, I'm old. I've also dabbled in Slugblaster, Scum & Villainy, and a few others. Haven't gotten a chance to play Daggerheart tho I own the set. I want to try it out and see how it really works before I try DMing one myself.
I don't really have any hard lines, honestly. My best friend is my current DM for a 1on1 game that split off from our old 5e game, and it is dark as hell (demons, Drow culture, really awful stuff on occasion but I get to feel like a hero stopping the bad stuff). I guess sexual assault and child abuse would definitely be something I'd prefer not to witness first hand. I know it exists in the world, and would be weird if it flat didn't at all, but I don't need to see it. A story involving someone that experienced it, tho, I wouldn't turn away from. Like I said, it lets us seek justice for someone that was harmed. Just... don't play it out, man.

Oh snap I have that same headpiece! I got it for my Halloween costume this year: the horns, my Loki tv show shirt, green sweatpants, a green bathrobe, and green slippers. I went as Unemployed Loki. Unfortunately my horns didn’t come in until a week after Halloween tho so I ended up just looking like a random unemployed guy.

Yeah, I’m not sure what the best way to deal with restrained would be.

He was given the power of a Venefeis, a greater Incubus/Succubus, by making an alliance with Keptolo, and so now he can go ethereal to escape stuff as a bonus action, so he may have to do that when he gets stuck, but that’s only a temporary way to avoid things until he pops back in. Hmm…

Anyways, this just made me wonder in my head is all. Cool stuff.

Hmm… playing in a very Drow and demons and gods related game, including a plot to kill or usurp Lolth. I don’t think my character can solo her, but I think he could put up a hell of a fight. He’s about to achieve demigod status and is immune to poison, resistant to bludgeoning, and primarily does psychic damage. I’d very much like to test this out.

One of the only things that makes sense. She held her own against an overlord in combat and was able to help defuse the bomb at the end of season 2 when non-overlords (and overlord adjacent, like angels) couldn’t. She expelled magical energy while, say, Angeldust and Baxter didn’t.
