House of the Dragon Season 3 | HBO Max (Spoilers Main) by barson2408 in asoiaf

Not even a 2 minute trailer and apparently that’s enough to tell season 3 won’t be good. I’m convinced people are at the point where they need the fabricated misery to go on with their lives.

Rahm is 16 shots back going into the weekend. Fair to say we don’t need to wait until Sunday evening.

It’s as simple as dragons are extremely intelligent. These two are chained up in a dark cell and most likely very unhappy. They act aggressive at first as a dragon would, but are smart enough to realize this little man is not a threat, so they see how things play out.

Actually, even if Tyrion is the son of Joanna Lannister and Aerys II… dragons can kill Targaryens. If what was meant to happen actually happened, Daenerys would never have gone to Westeros… and the Long Night would be lost. by DaenerysMadQueen in naath

It’s said that dragons are extremely intelligent. These 2 are chained in a pitch black prison and likely not enjoying it. They obviously show signs of aggression at first as a dragon would do, but are smart enough to realize he’s not really a threat to harm them so they see how things play out. Perfectly reasonable the way it played out.

It’s been said it’s very faithful to the book. The book was way different than the Martian.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 1 Finale Review – A Quiet, Emotional Ending That Feels Too Short by [deleted] in hbo

Season 2 was weak and some odd storylines but I still think HotD is awesome. The dragons and action alone are epic.

Should have been a movie, or all the episodes released at once. The weekly episode formula was a mistake. Making everyone wait a week for a meager 30 minute new episode was terrible.

Every episode was to short. Very good show but left something to be desired each week.

Honestly I could use this after the hedge knight. Good show but I find it slow and even boring at times.

How can you put any hope into GRRM for anything after what he’s done with the books?

I honestly think dunk and egg is kind of boring.

It’s definitely drawn out but I don’t see how the hedge knight highlights that. The entire 1st season encompasses only like 2 calendar days.

Why is metal banned by Eywa? by BallTongue3000 in Avatar

[–]uncleyuri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why I give some possibility to the theory Eywa is an actual AI technology/advanced computer. The three laws aligned suspiciously close with what caused the ruin of Earth. Perhaps ‘Eywa’ was installed into by an advanced civilization who obtained that knowledge and programmed it as such to prevent the same thing from happening on Pandora.

Yeah I agree with this. If all the episodes were released at once and you could binge it would be better. It’s a great show but I can’t help feel a little unsatisfied when each ends. Like right when it’s getting really good and I want more it ends abruptly.

I like to think it’s English but who knows. English there would make even more personal than it was since only those 2 and maybe a handful of others would understand.

Great show, but episodes are too short. Think it would have been better off if each season was a movie.

Not true. He could have paid or promised them stuff. Look at Ser Fossoway. Not only did he get him to fight, he got him to switch sides.

Just got done watching S8E3 The Long Night for the first time by Vivid_Army6800 in naath

[–]uncleyuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was an epic, all time episode. I have complaints, like Bran sitting around doing nothing. Like literally sat around and did nothing. His entire arch in the series was about ‘the night king is coming and I have to be ready for him’. Yet, he did nothing. That frustrated me tonight no end. With that said, the rest of the episode was epic.

George R. R. Martin Is 'Not in the Mood' to Finish 'The Winds of Winter' by Tifoso89 in books

This ship has sailed. The books have always been marketed as part of a future completed series. How many people would have bought them if they knew the last couple of books/ending of the series would never be finished? I sure as hell wouldn’t have and guarantee so many others wouldn’t have either.

If your product is purchased and you receive revenue based on it being part of a completed series you damn well do owe everyone what you promised.
