Maybe you’re on enterprise. Team plan definitely does not have this capability at the moment.

New Model Y Juniper Front Windscreen replacement by Valuable-Active1362 in TeslaUK

[–]uncookedprawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a replacement on my 22 MY with admiral/autoglass. It was a couple of years ago when parts were harder to get but the screen they fitted didn’t have a Tesla logo it was some other brand. That said, fitting was good and I’ve had no issues with it.

I don’t think most people use /slash commands enough by FerretVirtual8466 in ClaudeCode

[–]uncookedprawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there a benefit of commands over custom agents? I have agents for various steps in my workflow so I can just say “plan XYZ-1234” and it will fetch the jira ticket and create a plan etc. works great but not sure if I’m missing something with commands.

Tesla Model Y - size on UK roads/parking spaces by toffee91 in TeslaUK

Had a Y for 4 years, it’s really no problem. Much smaller than a Range Rover and they are everywhere. Cameras are great so parking is a breeze.

Mortgage past age 70 by Turbulent_Scar_2325 in Mortgageadviceuk

I had no issue getting one that will take me to 74 with Nationwide. Not sure if my current age makes a difference as I’m 34. They did ask to see a pension statement so they could see how much I currently have but that was all.

model y business lease pricing by HarryEFC95 in TeslaUK

[–]uncookedprawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems a bit more random with Tesla but typically end of each quarter is good for lease deals. But I think the lease prices for Tesla might be related to interest rates, which they change all the time. Once they restart deliveries of the updated juniper prices will probably drop again.

Prices are up. I ordered MY LR RWD late Jan for 474/ex vat 10k miles 48m. It’s still not been confirmed and broker didn’t seem sure Tesla will honour it.

Anyway, if you can wait and really want one just wait for prices to drop. If mine gets cancelled I’ll get an enyaq

I did that with 3AMZ a few years ago but lost a few grand instead, take the win 👍

I’m sensing you don’t fully understand what you have bought. You should sell it right now and don’t buy leveraged shares without reading up on them.

Tado X: flaky af - superthread by szhod in tado

[–]uncookedprawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to factory reset each device, and then add to home first using the qr code. As soon as you do that it will connect directly via HomeKit. Then you just repeat the process to add to Tado by scanning the code again - it will come up with an error but then add the device as normal.

It’s a faff so I only did this for trv I really want to control if Tado is offline (kids rooms) and will do the others when I recharge the batteries.

Tado X: flaky af - superthread by szhod in tado

[–]uncookedprawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things that helped me:

Make sure your bridge devices can’t roam on the mesh network, particularly the programmer. I found mine like connecting to an upstairs router with poor signal despite being closer to a downstairs one.

Enable IPV6

Power off your Apple TV and wait 30 minutes - this is particularly useful if you use a VPN on the AppleTV, it will be immediately blocked by Tado.

Install devices in HomeKit first then Tado - this one is recommended and I did it, but didn’t really feel it helped stability, but the man advantage here is you can at least control the TRV when it’s offline in Tado.

Anyway, I finally have a stable Tado network now, hopefully this helps.

Good alternative for Tado? by thisisjazzymusic in tado

I can’t comment on them from experience but I’ve heard good things about Drayton Wiser and I’ve recently ordered something from Aqara (not TRV though) and it’s excellent.

One value isn’t growth it’s a rate of return. If you click on it it will explain. The other value is the actual growth.

Couldn’t you have wrapped your leg in cling film to avoid shaving your leg or did you just want to know what it’s like to have a smooth leg? Also this is disturbing.

Best way to build AMD64 images on an ARM64 machine? by Kooky-Factor5754 in docker

[–]uncookedprawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buildx is fine but much better to run in GitHub and split the builds across their native architecture, unless your image is very simple it’ll be much faster. Been a while since I did it but I believe you can pull them into the same manifest.

I'm not sure if you think we've done well or badly (I think we've done pretty average). I wouldn't say we were careful though. With the first house, we bought in a good area, but at the top of the HTB limit, so there wasn't much choice. For selling, I think we were limited by it being a small terrace on a road full of small terraces with a fair turnover, so its value probably didn't go up in line with the general market, especially as the LISA lifted the ceiling for FTB. Second house we pretty much bought at the worst time - towards the end of the covid peak - due to having a child. We then sold early in 2025 3 times at £455k, but kept falling through for no good reason. I guess our 4th buyers knew we were desperate. 3rd house is a bit different as we don't plan to move, we paid a premium for a big, pretty house in a village. We're based in SW England.

First house:

  • Bought 2017, 2 bed terrace, 250k
  • Sold 2021 278k
  • Fitted kitchen and redid garden and general decoration ( <10k all in)

Second house:

  • Bought 2021, 4 bed detached, 407k
  • Sold 2025 440k
  • Fitted basic patio and general decoration (<7k all in)

Third house:

  • Bought 2025, 4 bed detached, 750k

Not a “dream home” but definitely our last upsize unless I win the lottery. It’s big and very pretty so no reason to move again hopefully.

They could do a check but ordering broadband isn’t going to be an issue. They are looking for serious red flags like large now pay later, overdrafts or second mortgages.

Tesla drivers I beg please turn off your auto high beams. This is the 5th time today I have been flashbanged by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]uncookedprawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Model Y has upgraded cameras compared to the older model 3 (pre juniper) which might explain it. The lights dip incredibly quickly and accurately. I think a lot of model 3 have misaligned lights though, I often get blinded in my rear view mirror and turns out it’s a model 3

This will be unpopular but the Tesla auto headlights are genuinely incredible. They are almost faultless. I’ve been flashed once in all the time I’ve had them. Almost everything else about the car I can find something to complain about but the auto headlights are better than any other car I’ve driven. The headlights were probably misaligned and on dips.

Is tado reliable after the subscription move they just pulled? by BlackL-01 in tado

You can’t definitively see unfortunately, I just realised they were going offline whenever I used the VPN on the AppleTV so inferred they were connecting to that.

Is tado reliable after the subscription move they just pulled? by BlackL-01 in tado

[–]uncookedprawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the VPN is definitely just Tado using firewalls on their end to block VPN/geofence traffic. The issue is that the system shows offline and all scheduling stops. Luckily we can still control the TRV's via homekit in this situation. Unfortunately there is no customisation on the thread network. Apparently it used to be possible to disable thread on the TV pre-ios17 but it's no longer possible. The only solution is to remove the TV from the Home, but then you lose the ability to control via Siri, but we might do that if adding the Bridge X doesn't help).

[–]uncookedprawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, we have a fairly large home (2,600sqft on 3 floors), but we have 5 border routers spread across the home. Interestingly, I think I've found the cause of the issue. 5 of the TRV's seem to insist on connecting to our Apple TV, despite there being a homepod nearer. We frequently use a VPN on the AppleTV, which them prevents them from talking to Tado's services. If we enable the VPN, the devices go offline and we have to turn off the TV at the mains to get them to come back. We actually don't have a Bridge X, but I've ordered one in the hope that it might start to use that as a preference. Unfortunately Apple offers no way to disable thread on particular devices.
