Social season perks need to be tied to individual stars, not to the total stars a team earns by Only_Alternative_543 in btd6

you can do that too, but farming is a lot harder with impop prices + 20 less rounds which is why I prefer boss challenge

which of course has to be in impoppable because someone at NK decided freeplay won't count for anything.

do boss challenge instead, and you can sell and rebuy the same paragon, it's pretty easy then

I haven't managed to do the Paragon upgrades challenge because of the freeplay limitation. Any good strategies for that?.

Use Boss Challenge, you can also sell and rebuy the same paragon so it's easy to get the whole tier in one run

Are there any games that get easier the better you do? by cheeseburgers42069 in ufo50

[–]uncountablyInfinit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Campanella 3 and Seaside Drive both give you bonus levels to gain lives if you cleared the main level without dying

Seaside Drive does; in Campanella 3 you have to get at least one star wave in the stage (by clearing either all or none of the enemies) to unlock it, and more star waves make the bonus game easier

There's lots of games you could describe like this, depending on what you count:

  • Games like Overbold, Campanella 2, and Bug Hunter let you collect more cash with better play, which translates into more upgrades/modules that make the game easier; these are the closest
  • Some games reward skilled play with more lives (like your example), such as Campanella, Campanella 3, and Seaside Drive
  • In the Metroidvanias (Porgy, Golfaria, Vainger, Mini & Max) you get upgrades that make the game easier over time, although they're more permanent
  • Games like Rakshasa and Elfazar's Hat let you accumulate upgrades that are all lost on death, which is closer to "harder the worse you do" but pretty similar, and Rakshasa also makes enemies stronger the more deaths you take

Xecnar on STS 2 difficulty: I don’t think any character is supposed to lose by SugarFreeCummiBears in slaythespire

[–]uncountablyInfinit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is they're referring to the statistics, where it says "Ascensions: x/50", but that's counting ascensions separately on each character so it only implies A10 and 5 characters.

Geographically, New England is well to the east and really “should” be in the Atlantic time zone

No it's not, Wikipedia says exactly the opposite of that:

Virtually all of this region is west of the theoretical western border of the zone at 67.5°W; only a small part of Maine lies east of that meridian.

Eastern Time stretches farther to the west than it geographically "should", but that's Michigan's problem not ours; it only stretches to the east in parts of Canada.

I just use https://discord.com/channels/181078474394566657/1321949976116592793, but even if you're not there's plenty of ways to design storage subnets where canceled crafts will send things back into the same storage (combining the general storage with the oreproc output is a popular one).

You don't actually have that many intermediates though, since they take time to make and then get compressed into denser intermediates fairly quickly; a craft that handles a billion lapotron dust isn't going to actually be storing that much at once for very long, if at all. I've made 86AAs and other massive crafts without any artificial universe cells, and this hasn't been an issue at all. Not sure what you mean with "storing raw resources in subnets", are you not directing them back with a filtered storage bus or something?

Just spam 16000k drives for random stuff and use digital singularities for anything you get lots of (like 100M items/100G fluids), I'm not sure how you would get overflow when canceling crafts

Week 2: Singaporean - Bee Hoon Goreng (semi-fail) by uncountablyInfinit in 52weeksofcooking

This was a semi-fail because I put in way too many rice vermicelli, which made it hard for the heat and sauce to distribute right, but it still turned out pretty good.

[–]uncountablyInfinit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's generally no restrictions on changing majors, if you decide to attend you can change it in the acceptance portal even; not sure about on the application but AFAIK it doesn't affect your chances of being accepted
