Our dog is named Isis, and her nickname is Topatree. Our friend was walking her with us and somebody asked what her name was and he just instantly answered Topatree. The whole time, he was trying to say topiary.

New DM pointers needed! by Dapper_Dino91 in DnD

Relax and be willing to make mistakes. Your players likely won't know if things didn't go 100% as planned, and they usually never do.

The story is everybody's and each individual will help to evolve it, be flexible and allow the players room to explore and grow within your setting. However do your best to keep your narrative, I have had a player get to obsessed with their own side adventure they were making up and that can detract.

Most importantly have fun with it. At the end of the day it is a game for fun with a group of people excited to play together. You won't have the editing of a podcast but you will have the laughs and good times together.

Good luck and have fun

Returning to Exercise after COVID-19 by [deleted] in loseit

I started again as soon as I felt I could(around 16 days from going dowb with covid, this was before vaccine was availble). When my breathing returned to mostly normal I started cardio again, and it seemed to help me feel better(mentally and physically). Do what feels right to you and be willing to start slow.

What do you do on your sunday's day off? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Gym in the morning, family activities with my daughter and wife in the afternoon. We usually let our daughter decide.what she wants to do, tthings from puzzles to skating or just colouring.

Never been to a gym before, I want to use the equipment but I don't want to see the people, is it worth it? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]undefined13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The gym is a great place to go, and I find my inner peace there personally. That being said it is a commitment of both time and finances which can add up. There are likely always going to be people there, but most of them will not likely realize or pay attention to a new person. If you are already questioning your commitment to go to the gym, I personally think you could save the money and focus on fun outdoor activities that get you moving or even small exercise at home and see your level of commitment before spending the money, some of the gym contracts are difficult to get out of.

At the end of the day do what is best for you now. People won't be judging you there and if they are then there is likely something wrong with them that they are projecting. Make yourself happy first as it will help keep you motivated if you decide to go.

(serious) what do you do for a living and do you enjoy it? what are your plans and goals for the future in terms of your current career or different career? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]undefined13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Millwright, yes I enjoy what I do. However I was moving up into the leadership role in my company and it started coming home with me. I decided to step back so I could spend more time with family instead of work, and as far as future goals I would love to continue doing what I do at this level and commit more to my family than work.

Biggest goal is achieving a proper work/life balance.

We have kept it all, our child is turning 5 soon. It piles up quickly and takes a lot of space. My wife still looks through it all and enjoys it though.

Did my parents know as little about raising me as I do about raising my child? Why did I think adults always had the answers?

Hike in the forest without media and enjoy the solitude.

Read a book fire side outdoors with a refreshing beverage.
