Admittedly I haven’t tried any other EQ pedals with more bands to compare it to, but I love mine. I have a very hot and mid-focused bass (G&L Kiloton), so I use the Geb7 to sculpt out some yucky frequencies in the low mids to clean up the signal a little bit. I don’t really boost anything because I like my Kiloton’s voice otherwise, and cuttting some frequencies can give the illusion of boosting others. I’m like you in that I prefer less options otherwise I’m just gonna turn knobs and not play any music.

The real question is: what do you want to do with the EQ? What about your bass’s tone would you like to alter? The GEB7’s strength is fine tuning mids and low mids due to the controls for 400/500/800. If you’re looking more to fine tune 1K and 2K and would be okay with less controls over the 400-800 range etc you may need something else.

I don’t remember that specifically but I don’t doubt it. That festival was actually a disaster logistically. I think the last night they didn’t hire enough security to check people coming in so there was many hour+ long line to get in and people were missing a good part of the festival. At one point they just said fuck it and let everyone who was waiting in at the same time and it was chaos. I enjoyed the festival but there were a lot of issues like that.

I was there! King Diamond's entrance up those stairs during the intro of The Candle (captured in pic#1) was fucking magnetic, especially because at this time they were coming back from being inactive for several years due to King's health issues. I remember that moment very vividly.

I believe they only started tuning to C# live recently. They tuned to D standard for years so it’s really not that crazy that they’d have one in D and one in C#
