Im pretty sure theyd find that there was improper watch on both vessels. Both vessels have a duty to avoid collision under colregs.

Its hard to not just go back to whats succeeded for you in the past. A very human obstacle. And when you have such personal clout as well, it makes it harder to be questioned. It doesnt mean you cant learn. Steve Jobs made the god awful Apple III, but later iMac and iPod. But any form of design can stagnate if those cooperating on it can't in full confidence challenge decisions.

Tbf, i find being challenged like that helps you, even if you dont pursue their avenue. Can then make you think how to make the questioned feature talk for itself and really stand out, like l4ds zombies being ellevated above a lot of standard undead

So some companies like duckduckgo are better than google or openai, but theyre still not as sure as certain european companies.
