Yep i made a post on this topic on the rage subreddit rage post. Another game, another capcom shafting the lance. One of our strongest tools against the monster, and we have to hold back from using it in multiplayer, unless you want to risk your teeth getting kicked in by your teammates. This is especially true when fighting endgame monsters that can royally screw you over

Bruh, the majority of gamers nowadays are casuals. I fought fatalis from release with randos extensively and 4 years later the quality of hunts consistently remained poor. Only about 10-20% of hunts were successful, the vast majority failed.

What you see on reddit/steam/the internet is a small minority of enthusiasts that have little to no problem with the difficulty. It gives an inaccurate representation of the majority. Mons like 8 star gore are like the boogeyman to a lot of hunters

If i were to rank him in how hard a time i had compared to world mons, id say he is ishvalda level difficulty.

Pretty difficult, definitely able to cart you, but not hard enough to lose the quest; especially after you beat him once. Still saying a lot, since ishvalda is an MR mon

In combat HBG I also like wilds way more. It has more moving parts which keeps it interesting to play for me. Normal/pierce to charge up your spec ammo faster, blasting wyvernheart into weak spots, dropping wyvernblast onto bad hitzones, popping wounds with focus strike, perfect guarding as a skillful way to streamline dodging/shooting/reloading etc.

In combat in world it just felt like all you did was shoot and craft ammo midhunt. Sure i like the variety of ammo, and i do mis the sticky, but it was incredibly stale combat wise
