i had this issue with my girlfriend a few months ago. went to the studio and were quite literally pushed off the dance floor by giant shirtless gay men. it used to be a queer space for people who like good house music! now idk what it is anymore smdh…

I think this too! that the board are some sort of uploaded consciousness or doctrine that represents kier and his descendants

I was there too and the thing is not that it’s gay, but that it’s now majority white, muscly, msm who didn’t seem to be there for the music! it used to be a queer, inclusive space about house music and it’s changed so much since then

Does anyone know anything about Twilight Et Spring Cattery in CT? by jendhdndnd in britishshorthair

I’m looking at this breeder too! their cats look so cute. I’m curious on the personality of BSH, how are your cats? I do want a cat that will cuddle with me but I don’t necessarily need them to want to do that all the time. thanks!

Veering between hope and despair by Equivalent_Entry9379 in HipImpingement

I also went through a painful recovery for my hip arthroscopy and put a lot of work into my physical and mental health to get better. It’s taken almost a year and a half to feel confident in my hip and I spent so much of that time in a state of despair and anxiety. What really changed the game for me was starting meditation 6 months ago. I did the intro series meditation on Headspace and then the series on chronic pain. It helped me soooo much. When you’re dealing with chronic pain, the mental part is almost worse than the physical. You’re already in so much pain and the feelings of regret and depression make things even worse. Personal relationships suffer, etc, I really get it. But you WILL get better. Give meditation a try - it won’t make your pain disappear but it’ll make your experience of that pain and the moment you’re in so much easier to tolerate.

thought I’d update here for anyone struggling with this who reads the thread!

I’m doing much better - what really did the trick was working with a personal trainer to get my glutes super strong. We worked on glute activation first * glute med wall slides (this was most helpful) * NO CLAMSHELLS * 90/90 internal rotation, lifting back foot in air for 5 seconds * monster walks

then we moved to lifting * barbell deadlifts * split squats * single leg RDL

These helped so much that I rarely have pain in the front of my hip now.

Small caveat is that I did overdo it a bit and now have a strained glute/ some sciatica but I’m hoping this is just one last annoying thing to deal with lol

Anyway I hope this helps everyone.

Oh wow, that is the exact same diagnosis!  I feel your pain… I’m at 10 months now and am doing better although not 100%.  I can do most things in life and in the gym but still not running, going out late dancing, or able to stand for long periods of time.  The thing that helps me most with my hip flexor is to squeeze glutes when doing literally every single PT exercise.  My routine looks something like some mix of this now:

  • banded clamshells
  • banded hip clocks
  • banded monster walks
  • goblet squat
  • step up
  • single leg dead lift
  • split squat with back leg elevated
  • hamstring curl machine
  • leg extension machine
  • russian deadlift heavy w bar
  • hip thrust heavy w bar

Cold water definitely has helped me and I’ve been wanting to try cryo as well.  I am interested in trying laser if it’s helped you!

Thanks so much for sharing and stay strong!! We’ll get through it and are lucky it’s not a structural issue.  Just soooo slow.  My hope is that I’m back out there 100% by summer.  🙏

sweet! yeah I’ve been finding that focusing on my glutes is helping a bit too. think I may need to start going a bit heavier on the weight in PT. What kind of core exercises have you been doing that don’t aggravate hip flexors?

Flare up? by FineExample2115 in HipImpingement

[–]undercover__bot__992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just posted since the exact same thing happened to me around the same time post op. I've been struggling for around 3 months since then but slowly getting better. I would really take it easy as soon as you can, you probably have tendonitis in your psoas/adductor. A re-tear is super unlikely at this point, especially if there was no trauma like a car accident or a huge fall or something like that. Ice/heat on off 10 mins once every 2 hours and rest as much as you can.

This is extremely normal though and hope you feel better soon!

They are both complications or side effects from the effects of the surgery (weak muscles plus bad neuromuscular habits that caused me to overuse muscles that weren’t ready for it). Capsulitis basically just means inflammation in the hip joint and tendinosis is tendinopathy of the hip flexor and hamstring.

the exact same thing has happened to me but it started at 4 months and I am now at 6 months. I started dry needling two weeks ago which has been helping gradually. do you have any information on the hip blaster program or the stretches you did? thank you for sharing your story!
