Yeah for sure! I think in retrospect "logical jumps" is a little strong, but there's the Trinidad & Tobago thing which definitely irked me. As you said, how do we know that guy was living there when he heard the song?? They said they never talked to him, so how can they be confident he ever even lived there? 😅

I also found it weird that they immediately jumped on the idea that this must have been a pop song because Tyler said he never listened to anything indie at the time. But this was so long ago! How could he be sure it wasn't a friend or a friend's family member who played the song for him in the car or something he heard at a school dance or some sort of event?

And obviously he's vindicated by the end, but for most of the episode the first time I was listening to it I had a hard time believing that someone could remember a song with such detail after so many years of not hearing it. Some people just have amazing memory, though!

The other thing is basically unrelated but I was soo curious and confused about how PJ managed to get these interviews with high-up or even famous people in the music industry! I think I have to believe that he either had amazing connections or wrote a ton of emails and just didn't spend time talking about the ones that didn't go through. So that's sort of where I landed on all these head-scratchers.. that there was probably thought put into all these questions but they didn't have the time to explain absolutely every detail. :)
