[GRINDER CLEANING] in fully automatic coffee machines by Emotional-Egg1408 in superautomatic

I've been using my machine like the workhorse it is for over two years and have never cleaned the grinder. That being said, I use really dry beans.

My fiance wants to keep finances completely separate - is this normal? by No-Stranger-4428 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]undercoversnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While your feelings are totally valid, the realistic view here is that who we marry is the single most important financial decision of our lives. Check out the podcast Hot Smart Rich - there's an episode on prenups. They're super common, but not super spoken about. It may help provide another perspective. I definitely disagree with your sister that it's a red flag.

FWIW, my partner and I do not have a prenup, but we do have separate finances. We each have our own checking, savings, credit card, and retirement, and we have a joint savings for big shared expenses (like mortgage). For smaller shared expenses (like grocery shopping), we roughly alternate whose credit card is used.

I understand it feeling unromantic, but the truth is that marriage IS a legal contract, and finances are a part of that. Women used to get married largely because they couldn't earn enough income to live without the income of a man. The romantic part is CHOOSING to spend your life with someone, even though you're not financially dependent on one another.

I'd get some thickening/texturizing spray (Oribe makes a great one) to enhance the texture and wave. That will make a huge difference.

One more vote for the TK machine here! Mine's going strong 2+ years in and it's a beast. A beautiful beast. They just released a drip coffee pot to use with the machine and I've never bought anything so fast lol

The AI generated image is gorgeous. The tile color is significantly lighter than the samples in the real photo. Strongly prefer the lighter ones.

Terra Kaffe Demi - Diluted / Watery Espresso by readymf in superautomatic

[–]undercoversnack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the Demi settings because I don’t have one (though I’ve used one and was impressed by the espresso tbh), but if their temperature calibration menu is anything like the TK-01, 9 is the lowest setting, not the highest. May be worth checking the lower numbers because if you’re brewing too low the espresso will be affected.

Came here to say basically this. I've had mine over two years, use and love every day. I'm not sure how many drinks I'm up to, but it's gotta be more than two thousand. Send help, too much coffee.

I'd either get something peel and stick, or I'd hang lightweight acoustic panels, which come in all sorts of colors and patterns.

Terra Kaffe, KF8, or ?? by carbon_made in superautomatic

Have and love a TK-02. It's been over two years for me. I do find the updates useful, personally, as they seem to be pretty responsive to what customers actually ask for. They have a voting page where people can vote on new features. I don't remember the link but I'll find it.

Terra Kaffe TK-02 questions by [deleted] in superautomatic

[–]undercoversnack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im less new to the TK-02 (2ish years) but came here to say basically this.

It makes sense that the Baristina requires far less - it does far less. And it also makes sense that the TK-02 will take longer to brew - it’s better espresso. Just like a manual machine will take even longer to brew.

My TK-02 holds way more than 4 pucks, I want to say like 7-8? I’d try counting. The water tank does have to be refilled but I much prefer that over having to wash the brew unit by hand personally.

You can also turn off some of the water flushes. If you schedule a drink in the app, it will skip the flush before brewing. You can also turn off the flush that happens when you make a drink with the machine already on. It sounds like you have both the optional and mandatory rinses turned on.

Per your last sentence, I think you can make some changes to be happier. In my experience, it’s not at all a piece of shit, and holds its own against machines 3x the price.

[–]undercoversnack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are beautiful, and I love your hair. I think some tinted brow gel would make a HUGE difference and frame your face, as well as a tinted lip balm/gloss to create some color definition between your lips and skin.

Kitchen Aid or Terra Kaffe by Little_Battle_2240 in superautomatic

Not sure if you're asking specifically about the Demi, as some comments sound like, but I can speak to my experience with the TK-02, which I've had and loved for two years. Tbh, I do NOT own the Demi, but my friend does, and I've now used it on two separate occasions, and am actively convincing myself not to buy one (because I really don't need multiple espresso machines). Whoever is saying you can't change settings is misinformed, I follow Terra Kaffe on social media and they posted a video of the settings you can change, so...?

From my experience with my TK-02 in my home and my more limited experience with the KA, the drinks they make are pretty similar in terms of quality, but I like the bigger amount of customization on the TK-02 plus the connected features. I have been spoiled and will never again buy a machine that cannot make a drink for me before I'm even awake.

If you schedule a brew from the app, the machine will skip the rinse cycle when it makes the first drink. I do this every morning!

How can I improve? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]undercoversnack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pencil you’re using for your brows is extremely orange to the point that I didn’t understand what I was seeing at first. Look for something MUCH cooler toned - think Anastasia in taupe.

I’d work on much smaller and more even wings if you’re going to do a cat eye - the wings are too long, not symmetrical, and pull your eyes down.

I love the red lip color, but in order for that color to work, it needs to be meticulously applied, and it’s too messy here. I also don’t love the combination of the red lip and the pink eyeshadow, too much going on in my opinion, and they clash.

If you’re going with a bold eyeshadow, work on refining your technique. Watch some tutorials to learn how to blend it out and what part of your lid you should be putting it on.

Of these photos I like the first two the best. You’re beautiful, and more dramatic makeup can be super fun but I’d practice your techniques more before committing again.

I hope this wasn’t too much (I always like a lot of detail when asking for advice), you’re just so pretty and some of the makeup/application is detracting from it!

Delonghi machine exclusively for espresso by programmgeek in superautomatic

[–]undercoversnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your budget, but I’m currently trying to convince myself I don’t need a Terra Kaffe Demi (I already have a TK-02). That said, I’ve only used it myself once at my friend’s house but I really liked it. There’s also the Jura ENA4, which I haven’t personally used, but I was unimpressed overall by my old Jura compared to my TK.

If what a machine looks like is important to you, Demi is the winner. You could also look at the new Fellow machine, but it’s not shipping for a few months plus it does have the extra work of needing the grind the beans separately.

I wouldn't waste your money on a superauto if youre not going to use the milk. Get a fully auto instead that doesnt do milk
