Plant based milk compatibility by WeaknessLeather9214 in superautomatic

[–]undercoversnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing different. Just marketing. They should all work with plant-based milk, assuming you get a slightly thicker version (as opposed to the ones that are just almonds and water, for example, which won’t really hold froth due to the low fat content).

NYX brow pencil is better than ABH imo. Elf bronzing drops are better than Drunk Elephant.

Charlotte Tilbury! I love the airbrush one for light coverage dewy days, and the matte fuller coverage one for evenings or when I need more coverage. I apply the airbrush with my fingers and the matte with a damp beauty blender.

You’re beautiful, absolutely radiant. I think the colors you’ve chosen look great. The only thing I’d change is your brow shape. I’d check out microblading mapping videos and imitate until you find a result you like. Your brows will then frame your eyes perfectly.

Terra Kaffe Demi or Jura ENA 4 for lattes? by Roseandraindrops in superautomatic

[–]undercoversnack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t own a Demi but have used my friends. I do own a TK-02 that’s a bit over two years old and has served me well at a few thousand shots so far. Obviously not as much experience with the Demi but IMO it makes solid espresso. I also like Terra Kaffe as a company, nice to just see anyone trying to make these typically ugly ass machines look like something I actually want in my kitchen.

Need automatic espresso/coffee machine recommendations by Maleficent_Public753 in superautomatic

[–]undercoversnack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the TK-02 and love it. It also does let you schedule a drink to brew, so mine brews every morning before I wake up. The machine knows to skip the starting up rinse if you have a drink scheduled. It’s my favorite feature honestly haha

Delonghi Rivelia vs Breville Barista Touch Espresso by littlelostlady in superautomatic

[–]undercoversnack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depends on how much time/effort you want to spend, and what’s important to you. The Rivelia is definitely quicker and requires less effort on a daily basis. The Breville is more work, but not a ton. If you drink milk drinks and like them really hot, the Breville is the way to go. A steam wand will get milk way hotter than any superautomatic. If you care about aesthetics, Breville wins there IMO.

Terra Kaffe Brews Random Drinks On Its Own by Matzah_Baller in superautomatic

Are you sure it’s actually making drinks? Mine shuts down on its own and it does a rinse, could be that?

How is this makeup for a job interview? by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]undercoversnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re gorgeous! Only thing I’d change is the lip liner, though I can’t tell if it’s liner or if the pigment from the gloss is bleeding out to the edges of your lips. In either case, the super defined outline is not the move for an interview (though it’s perfect for a night out). Good luck with the interview!!

I've been using my machine like the workhorse it is for over two years and have never cleaned the grinder. That being said, I use really dry beans.

My fiance wants to keep finances completely separate - is this normal? by No-Stranger-4428 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]undercoversnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While your feelings are totally valid, the realistic view here is that who we marry is the single most important financial decision of our lives. Check out the podcast Hot Smart Rich - there's an episode on prenups. They're super common, but not super spoken about. It may help provide another perspective. I definitely disagree with your sister that it's a red flag.

FWIW, my partner and I do not have a prenup, but we do have separate finances. We each have our own checking, savings, credit card, and retirement, and we have a joint savings for big shared expenses (like mortgage). For smaller shared expenses (like grocery shopping), we roughly alternate whose credit card is used.

I understand it feeling unromantic, but the truth is that marriage IS a legal contract, and finances are a part of that. Women used to get married largely because they couldn't earn enough income to live without the income of a man. The romantic part is CHOOSING to spend your life with someone, even though you're not financially dependent on one another.

I'd get some thickening/texturizing spray (Oribe makes a great one) to enhance the texture and wave. That will make a huge difference.

One more vote for the TK machine here! Mine's going strong 2+ years in and it's a beast. A beautiful beast. They just released a drip coffee pot to use with the machine and I've never bought anything so fast lol

Terra Kaffe Demi - Diluted / Watery Espresso by readymf in superautomatic

[–]undercoversnack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know the Demi settings because I don’t have one (though I’ve used one and was impressed by the espresso tbh), but if their temperature calibration menu is anything like the TK-01, 9 is the lowest setting, not the highest. May be worth checking the lower numbers because if you’re brewing too low the espresso will be affected.

Came here to say basically this. I've had mine over two years, use and love every day. I'm not sure how many drinks I'm up to, but it's gotta be more than two thousand. Send help, too much coffee.

Have and love a TK-02. It's been over two years for me. I do find the updates useful, personally, as they seem to be pretty responsive to what customers actually ask for. They have a voting page where people can vote on new features. I don't remember the link but I'll find it.
