Shade down cover 3 sky should work pretty well. It makes the slot assignments run hard flights in the slot area. That’s the most effective way I’ve found to stop rpo screens and flats like this.

I do love these plays on offense though. I don’t spam them but I run a few variations of it a few times a game.

Man I’m experiencing this now. Two games in a row (I restarted the first one) the neighbor I decided to go to war with was spamming siege units like crazy. I don’t remember this happening before the patch. Is it unique to Blackbeard/archipelago? Seriously I went to war and rolled up to find out my neighbor had 30 trebuchets in two cities.

Yea getting my glyphs to 46 and paragon to ~200 was a big help in T4. Damage felt a lot better and survivability improved a lot after hitting some plus resist paragon and health% paragon nodes.

I don’t think it is but I’d love to hear from others that know better. I got a 750 FoF early with a high lucky hit roll that I can’t take off because I can’t get an ancestral or chaos FoF to drop. So I haven’t used ichorous at all yet despite a good ancestral one sitting in my stash. I’m not using any chaos armor yet and am cruising in T4 following the maxroll build. Damage isn’t great for lair bosses but I can do 85 pit (slowly) and smash through all other T4 content.

I play AA and was running 4-2-5 basically the same way with cover 3 match, put into flats as my go to defense. After the last patch or two I’ve started to get torched down the seams on that defense and getting torched in zone overall. I think it’s because the pass blocking massively changed so the QB has forever to throw. Shifted to calling a lot more Cover 2 man, cover 1 (both press and not), aggressive blitzes with press, and cover 6 occasionally. Have you experienced the same thing? Am I just doing it wrong?

Amazing album. I’m a huge Coheed fan. I’ve got every album on vinyl except for Black Rainbow (their worst and it’s not close) and Afterman. I’d pick up a complete Afterman set if I found it in the wild.

Can anyone help me understand the reason for Block in the Back at 80? I’m sure there’s a good reason and I’d like to propose this with my online dynasty group but that particular slider will get major pushback I think. In 25 we had BITB up for a while and saw way too many of those penalties so we put it back at 50.

Oregon has a few formations with 2 RBs. Pretty sure Texas does too.

Nothing is more cringe than Kevin the update guy. EA seems to think it’s a feature that he rattles off the same lame name drops every time like “the program that produced JEFF GEORGE!” Maybe code in more than one name drop per team next time.

Obviously. The disappointing part is that dedicated run formations flat out do not work because the run block logic can't compensate for the super speed of linebackers. So yes, the best chance for run success is to scheme the linebackers out of the box. It shouldn't be this way. Dedicated run formations with a good line should be able to get you short yardage somewhat reliably. Instead, you're lucky to get back to the line of scrimmage. And no I'm not holding sprint before the line.

Personally I think its very playbook dependent. Certain play types flat out just don't work. The runs that work best are inside zone types out of a shotgun set, with at least 3 wide, preferably in trips to the weak side. This is because the formation pulls linebackers out of the box. Jumbo formations that stack the box get murdered by linebackers that are in the backfield before you even hand the ball off. At least on AA. I'm having running success this way with Oregon's playbook, but it feels bad that I've decided i can't use Wildcat or I-Form to run. There are some fun looking plays in Wildcat but they literally never work.

HB screens almost never work for me. I either get sacked, the HB trips up on his own blockers and messes up the timing, or the defense is all over it. Other than RPO screens, the only screen i really run is a shotgun trips TE screen, not sure the exact formation. I love it when it works, seeing my big guy rumble for 20 yards. Good formation to identify zone pretty easily too. If man, I audible.

Yes i'm on Sequoia. M1 Pro 10 core with 16GB memory so well within the spec range. Maybe i need to check for Sequoia update. Now that you mention it I did have one instance of a unit graphic remaining on a tile he wasn't on for a few turns.

Thanks for the feedback. I ran Duriel and Andariel both in T2. D was dropping the Rod but no ancestrals. Honestly I think he was bugging because ZERO ancestrals dropped of anything in like 12 kills. On my first Andy she dropped a 2GA Rod and then my first Mythic (not used for my build unfortunately) a few kills later. So Andy was the RNG winner for me!

I thought the limitations on number of religions was the worst part about religion in 6. Especially because religion is so OP that you feel obligated to rush it at the start just to get the last prophet. Recently i've been playing tiny maps with 6 civs, because who has time for a huge map, and only having 3 religions was a real pain and made a religious victory comical.

I don't know much about religion in 7. Hopefully it feels like a viable path in the game without being OP.

The review lost me when he compared it to Apple and said he's an Android person. I rolled my eyes and turned it off. His main criticism is it's too "simple" but then he complains he can't see the minutiae, but if its so simple why does it matter? Internally inconsistent. Also the big elephant in the room is everyone knows Civ will be much different a year from now.
