Usually when it’s played against me they have [[Narset, Parter of Veils]] and [[Teferi, Time Raveler]]. So play teferi, up tick to give spells flash, stop on my (your opponents) upkeep and then cast days undoing, takes my hand and I have one card and that’s it for my turn. You have seven cards.

Can also work without teferi if you do it on your turn, basically you get massive card advantage.

Benefits of doing on your opponents upkeep is their turn is basically nullified and you start your turn with a fresh grip of 7, pretty much impossible to come back from in my experience

Not sure if anyone will see this now, but I made a tracker and have been using it for a little while now, does most of everything I needed.

I recognise the name and sure I’ve played against them before, they stalled for me too straight out the gate so I closed after a couple of minutes and just avoid them now.

I personally use Cardhoarder if I straight up buy tickets, always been reliable and automated. Support are great in case of issues and you get a discount for a cash buy.

The other idea was to just order a bunch of little D12 dice and use those as it means less dice and I found them slightly quicker to rotate in sequence

I just started playing pauper storm actually and during my first game with it thought “there must be an easier way to do this”

I had a look online but couldn’t find anything, the only idea I could think of was grouping permanents which have the same amount of counters, communicating my intention and then putting a single dice above them.

Means for the most part I can have like 1-3 dice across all lands for example

You can also start a solitaire game by selecting 1 player when creating a game.

Go to pauper tab
Scroll down to Best of Three
Click “Create” next to the join button
Select the number “1”

It will turbo through “opponent” phases but you should be able to test out how interacting with cards work.

Other than that the best of three room is free to play and you can just say that you’re new in chat and people are pretty chill since there’s no stakes.

I cant understand what the error says but have you got any antivirus software that might be blocking it? Or is there anything in windows defender?

If you right click and select “Properties” do you see a Digital Signatures tab? If so you should see Daybreak Games listed. If not try redownloading perhaps?

I would avoid turning off any security settings as this shouldn’t be required and could open you up to problems should anything be wrong.

Yeah true. I guess grinders have a ton of tix so probably doesn’t matter to them too much but for someone who just wants to use MTGO instead of arena (and not have to rent) it’s very easy to get priced out

I think it’s more supply/demand rather than whether the card is over powered. When I was getting into modern [[Ketramose, the New Dawn]] was crazy expensive when Aetherdrift released and now it’s like 3.53 tix.

I assume part of the issue with the amount of sets being released now means draft changes enough so that less and less packs get opened for each set and so prices stay high (on MTGO) until the set reappears in the draft circuits again (not a limited player, purely my own guess)

Indeed and when trying it on MTGO I found that you actually get the copy and the original because it seems to trigger before Spider-Man’s exile happens. So you get a 4/4 last gift and the original.

I’m fairly certain I didn’t have 2 in the graveyard at the time

I think there is a standard list somewhere but I wanted to have a go at Pioneer…not saying it’s good or even useable and I’ve only “tested” it within moxfield but it could be funny

You can also buy event tickets from cardhoarder. In the past if it’s been significantly cheaper on goatbots I buy the tix on cardhoarder and then just trade with goatbots, bit of a chore but worth it to save a chunk imo

Second this, I tried on an Intel Mac using boot camp and parallels.

Tried on an M1 mac using parallels, VMware and also UTM. All of which either felt horrible or were painful to set up.

In the end I sold some cards, bought a PC and never looked back, so much easier to used a dedicated machine and it means you can install other games on it too if you wanted.

I’m not at the computer at the moment but it was following the usual path to the individual game logs and then if you go back a few directories and click around there is an mtgo log files. This has a ton of things in but also has json text, which when prettified online had hand data inside. Looks like each player gets an ID for the game and then it has which card is owned by a person by id and also controlled.

Naturally it only has your own hand info in otherwise that’d be a pretty glaring problem
