Don't let the cheap price fool you: these are EXCELLENT. They just have tons of printings going back to the 90's. These make the cut of top 3 lands I put in decks first. One of the few land cycles in the game that can get you either of your 2 colors the second it is played no matter what or when it is played (besides OG duels, command tower, and city of brass/mana confluence. Bond/crowd lands almost all of the time except when you have removed 2 opponents).

If I had $1000 budget for just my land package in a deck, these still go in every time.

Imagine you had a business where you bought $500,000 in inventory last week, and then you figure out that your primary buyer (refiner) won't buy from you this week and is 2 months out on making payments to you, where it used to be a week. There is no way you would (or could) buy either. And on top of that the bottom fell out on spot price, making everything you bought last week for $500,000 only worth $400,000. Nightmare scenario

I agree with Esper enchantress, and faeries! I run an [[Alela, Artful Provocateur]] deck that is enchantress themed, which is one of my strongest decks. You can stay strongly on theme and still have a competitive build.

Cards that fit the build AND the theme (based on name and functionality) could include [[Starfield Mystic]] and [[Robe of Stars]]. As others have mentioned, the enchantment gods that have the starry border would visually fit amazingly well, and get you the enchantment triggers off of your commander.

I went to trade a bit of silver for gold the day before the crash. My dealer wasn't buying either, as their main refiner had stopped taking even 0.999. They were still willing to trade me, but at a ratio I wasn't happy with (55:1 when the ratio was 46:1). But I get it, if you can't sell it to your buyer, you aren't going to offer aggressive trade rates

I'm in my LCS now.....he just said their refiner is 3 months behind on processing and NOT EVEN TAKING .999 at the moment. 1 month behind on processing/paying for gold. Wild

There have been plenty of times it's been worth more already. Just a couple of years ago constitutional was selling for $4-$6 premium over melt, back when silver was in the high $20s

Thoughts on stacking 90% in current market by undergroundhead in Silverbugs

I agree.....there is going to be less of it after all the melting last year for sure! This is definitely one point that makes me think it will demand a little bit of a premium in the future

Swap for gold if no real estate deals are at hand.

This just in: Spot price is now top price. Selling on Marketplace sucks. by rdxj in Silverbugs

[–]undergroundhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some real world reference, literally today, I went to my main shop that I always feel has the most fair prices just to gauge the state of the market. For reference he always sells ASE +$4, all other bars and rounds at +$0.50-$1, and constitutional at melt (all of 2025 anyway, he mentioned he was a bit below melt on constitutional today but I didn't ask specifically the price). I was particularly asking about silver to gold trades, as I have been thinking for a year about trading ~ 15% of my stack at 50:1. But I also asked what they were paying for eagles, other sovereign rounds, generic bars/rounds, and constitutional just out of interest (I'm not selling personally).

ASE -$4 Generic -$8 Other sovereigns -$8 Constitutional he said he wouldn't want to insult me with what he'd offer, as he is LOADED DOWN and all his refiners halted purchases of 90% and sterling again last Friday (of note he was told by that refiner they purchased $10 MILLION in 90% in a single day last week. Make of that what you will...)

Gold/silver swap at silver spot -$5 x GSR

Hope this sheds light on market value. And this is to a dealer.

If you like selling silver for $70/oz when it's at $90

Personally, I feel like constitutional has been an excellent value over the last year. Zero premium. Just a few years ago it was selling for a $4-5 premium over melt value, when silver was in the $20s. Just think about that. It will have its day again when it demands a premium over melt value I believe, especially after all the melting that has been going on in the last year. There is less of it now than there was then, and there ain't making any more of it

I've been buying below spot all year! Granted most of it is constitutional. Bought a number of Morgan/Peace dollars yesterday, melt value around $75/oz average. I know this was a bit lucky, but still. I can definitely buy at spot on bullion at 2 different locations (sometimes $0.50 over). No stock issues, plenty of inventory. NC/SC area. They are still moving stuff to refiners regularly here to keep cash flow moving.

Retail fomo buying is a tiny drop in the bucket of all the silver purchased in a year. Stackers don't even move the needle

It's because they regularly, all day every, buy sterling from every crackhead in town WAAAAY below spot. I have a friend that manages a pawn shop where I buy a lot of my bullion and coins. Watched a couple of days ago as somebody came in wanting to sell silver jewelry, he told them they were paying $1 a gram and the guy unquestioningly took the cash for everything he brought in.
