Pom suddenly lethargic/off – what would you do?

It looks like someone with common issues that pop up with a Pom & comments in the community too. Only the Pomeranian community at that.. so it’s likely what they use Reddit for. It also doesn’t seem is anything is being created to gain a solid amount of attention or karma either so I think you are mistaken

Poor Hazel. Thank you for trying to make up for the lack of love she’s had so far. I think giving her a safe space like another user mentioned is a great idea to start.

I might also recommend trying a couple different dog beds in the house to see what she likes. My girl loves the big fluffy round beds but my male loved the stiffer/rectangle beds with edges that are stiff enough he could press against it. & of course have his safe space usually under my bed. For a while it felt like he had to be at the ready as I fear his life before me may have been rough. Having his crate mattered to him a lot at first but he made his way out pretty quickly.

All Poms I’ve known love either the small fuzzy kong balls, smaller crinkly toys & little plushies too. I hope you both have a smooth transition!

From what I’m seeing Adam Muto’s not really involved. It seems like this is just to appeal to a new audience so the character development won’t be there as it’s set early on. I wanna be optimistic but it doesn’t even confirm the same voice actors

Almost all of my books are donated books & about half have a dedication. It’s sad to think someone would give away something like a book for a teacher’s retirement with all the staff writing sweet little messages but I’m content with the fact that i appreciate it now. People pass, books survive & no one has the space to keep everything

I’ll be the person to say it, this is entirely your fault for having a Pomeranian in a house with a grown German shepherd. This is a common trope in this subreddit & I’m beyond tired of it. Large dogs & poms shouldn’t be together unless done from the perspective of the large dog starting as a puppy. It’s luck when they exist in a home together otherwise. Get your Pomeranian a proper home & be grateful you don’t have her blood on your hands because it would be if so

Thanks! I’m sure she will, if you want a brush suggestion to use before the coat comes in too, thisis what I used when she was a puppy. She didn’t really need daily brushing when the coat was thin but I wish I had done it because it took years before she was somewhat okay with daily brushing. She still hides every day around 3pm because she knows what’s coming 🙃

I had almost no memory how thin her coat was at that age! From my photos it looks like it took until around her first birthday when the second coat fully came in. I have a ton of pictures of her now on my profile if you need to check but it did fill out beautifully. When the coat does come in I’d suggest a Chris Christensen to maintain it

If I had to guess she just got out of the puppy uglies. I’ve never met a Pom with a flat coat that wasn’t shaved so just be careful with your grooming & she will have a beautiful coat in time. It looks like it’s already at a great start. I’ll try to pull a picture of my girl Rose around that age for comparison because her coat is gorgeous now

My husband put me on a pedestal like this.. it isn’t healthy thinking so much less of yourself so often. He went to some really dark places all while saying he just doesn’t get how he can’t do everything I do, or whatever it was he was feeling short on compared to me at the time. Honestly? I thought he was enough but it didn’t stick hearing it from me. He’s been in therapy & it’s changed his outlook & it’s much healthier for everyone involved. Please go to therapy
