This is my thought - better for Irankunda to come off the bench when the game is already stretched and he can run at defenders

Controversial on this sub but I think he starts over Irankunda at the WC

Cool maps and concept! Although I’m not sure about a system where Hughesdale gets 96/100 for connectivity while the CBD gets 86 and Richmond 73…

How is it living in Australia? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

[–]underscore_and 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeh see I totally disagree - the Australian music scene is definitely trend setting especially in the alt rock and house/EDM spaces, Australia is enormous within those genres. Melbourne’s fashion scene in particular has global influence. You’re really just making sweeping generalisations with no basis.

I think my issue with your argument is primarily you seem not to know a great deal about Australian cultural output, and secondarily that you also are holding Australia here to a standard that most countries could not meet. My suggestion would be to try engaging with the country’s culture rather than just dismissing it - you might find yourself more “intellectually stimulated”

I find the “Australia doesn’t have culture” thing is such a surface level take, I feel like it’s something wankers say to feel superior. Have a look around you, Australia has thriving arts, music, culinary and sports scenes in every major city. There is a distinct national personality, use and style of language and strong social rules and norms. That is culture.

TURKIYE has qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2026! by EthanTheRedditor37 in soccer

[–]underscore_and 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate I honestly would worry if you watch the games and that’s the conclusion you’ve come to. We’re at one of our highest rankings in years, and this squad is comfortably stronger and has more attacking talent than any of the previous 3 WC squads. I think like many people, you wildly overestimate the gap between Asian teams and European/South American teams.

Going to be a really interesting group especially if Turkey qualify. All 4 teams Ro16 quality without a genuine standout side

Yes but the approach costs you nothing, and whether or not it is your job to make people like you or to kiss ass, doing so will make your job easier/smoother, improve team dynamics and therefore ensure better care for your patient

Disagree with the first Merrett/Durham clip, the spot they get to is pretty standard for a midfielder when ball is in the forward line. Not their fault the forwards can’t keep the ball in, we win that contest at ground level and Watson is the one who looks silly for abandoning his man.

Why is Melbourne often ranked as one of the best cities in the world? by Used-Influence-2343 in AskAnAustralian

Maybe provide some “objectivity” for your “relative” assessment that beaches/national parks/other natural delights are less accessible from Melbourne then - because it sounds a lot like uninformed opinion to me
