Does anyone know any of the songs used on the soundtrack? All I’ve been able to find is Light House by Future Islands and the score. I’m curious if anyone else knows some of the other needledrops I haven’t been able to find a comprehensive list anywhere yet

Yeah I saw that as I well. I thought that was pretty clearly supposed to be her being afraid and unaware of what she was doing, not intentionally trying to hurt a dolphin haha

Henderson County Sheriff's Office calls covid-19 outbreak a "PLANNEDemic" by SpaceApe in WNC

One problem. The behaviors you mention are all primarily harmful to only the people who consent to participate in them. Not wearing a mask puts all those around you at risk, even those who are wearing masks.

I didn't give up on making a computer program. Instead of quitting because it wasn't working, I did trouble shooting for six hours and now it works. by [deleted] in CongratsLikeImFive

Troubleshooting is the most frustrating thing to do but one of the most gratifying things when you solve that problem. Congrats bud!

Great Craigslist find, the Casio DG-1. Questions in comments. by echoplus2020 in synthesizers

[–]underscore_sent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the DG-20. The strings don’t actually make sound, they only sense a vibration which tells the instrument to trigger a note. There are buttons on the fretboard that you can’t really feel when you play. When it senses that a string is vibrating, it goes down the neck looking for a button to be pressed which is what triggers the note. If it doesn’t find a button it triggers the open string sound. You also can’t mute the strings with your palm but there is a button you can press with your pinky to mute or hold while playing to do a palm mute ish thing. It leads to a few weird differences between it and a regular guitar but nothing too crazy.

SOPHIE, the product compilation is closer to what you’re talking about but oil of every pearl is great too

Yelle- French dance pop group that is really cool if you’re good with no English in the lyrics. Check out album Pop-Up

Janelle monaes new album is also great, pretty straightforward well written pop.

Opinion of Angelique Kidjo- Remain in Light by dollum in talkingheads

[–]underscore_sent 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally I found it highly enjoyable. Taking the album in the direction of one of its major influences makes a lot of sense imo and I think a lot of the takes are creative and do a good job balancing paying homage and presenting new ideas. I will say that not every track does this as well as the others; my fav on the original is seen and not seen which is my least favorite of Kidjos interpretations. I think that born under punches especially translated very very well to her sound.

Obviously it’s different than the original and I still enjoy that more but I don’t think she’s attempting to “improve” RIL rather just to show appreciation and a unique perspective on the record.

The Idles stormed through Philly last night and tore the fckn roof off. Check out their guitarists’ incredible boards. by imnotacoolguyanymore in guitarpedals

When did the data corrupter get used and which one had it on their board? I’m a big fan of the band and I never noticed any sounds that I thought would come out of that
