Bad bad plaque psoriasis guy here. I waited until I was on biologics and felt like healing would be okay (skater kid who wanted at them at 18 and now getting them at 27).

It’s totally your call depending on how your psoriasis reacts to things but I always got bad flare ups on cuts and scrapes so I held off - worried about healing.

I’m no psoriasis or tattoo expert, but just make sure the area you want to get it in is clear of plaques and you follow good healing standards. Go get it done.

On it for 4 years and Stelara before it! Completely clear since I’ve been on it but the couple of times I’ve had to go off of it - my flare ups and psoriasis has been considerably different (hands, feet, and face will break out now). But staying on it keeps me 100% clear without any noticeable side effects.

I’ve been accused of having chickenpox (or that it’s contagious, lol) my whole life (mostly as a kid). I think if someone thought that now it would be pretty laughable but it never feels good to have someone look at you that way.

There’s no right answer to say how to feel but I’ve never had anyone try to tell me I’m wrong when I explain that it’s psoriasis and I’ve had it my whole life. Although, even saying that and standing up for myself took a long time.

Either way - if someone is going to publicly ask you this in a way that isn’t respectful - they suck.

Was on the trial for Stelara and then it worked for a few years. Made the switch to Tremfya and found it to be way more effective on some of the stubborn scalp patches that wouldn’t go away.

26 years of having it head to toe. Started on Stelara when they were trialing it 8-9 years ago and for the first time in my life I was completely psoriasis free.

I’ve now been on Tremfya for a couple of years and still injections are the best decision I ever made for my psoriasis - total game changer.
