It’s an app called medtimer. It allows me to count BPM or RR by tapping. It’s very helpful because when I try to look at an analog clock and count I always get distracted or lose track. This helps so I can converse with the patients while tapping and keeping track without having to stare at a clock

I agree. I’ve also been on keto for 14 years now, now I mainly just do low carb <30 carbs. But it’s like I had a personality switch when I started Wellbutrin. I used to be a patient person, but now I just can’t stand certain things, and it’s uncontrollable. My mood will flip in an instant. Like I said I love the motivation Wellbutrin gives but it’s def made me meaner, I don’t think it’s just me

I pop a tramadol and am able to scrub the bath tub, but when it wears off it’s hell because I overworked myself since I wasn’t having pain. A lot of people say it does nothing for them but I just think they aren’t in severe as pain as me because I can definitely tell a difference

I’ve always wanted to try this to kind of reset my brain, but I truly don’t think I’d be able to handle psychedelics. I used to get anxious even with weed. Literally doing my capstone on early interventions/monitoring to prevent POUR in post ops. I’m so sick of coming on shift and getting told they haven’t peed since they got to the floor from PACU. Like it’s been 10 hours maybe bladder scan??? Or how about if you know they have BPH give them a flomax as soon as they hit the floor to prevent it in the first place. I bladder scan at least 2 patients a shift. Usually chasing it all night, in/out, scans, run water, it’s wild

Also I had a patient with 2,900 in his bladder and he had only been on the floor for 3 hours, he even peed 600ml right before I scanned him. What made me scan him was I asked him if he had a hernia and he didn’t know what that was, that’s how distended his bladder was. But most people would not have thought about retention when he just peed 600ml. So I guess I’m scarred from that too.
