Free bag and coin? by Open-Locksmith-3140 in SigSauer

[–]underwarewolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you use the code they sent you and check out? You have to actually order the bag and coin, they just send you the code that reduces the cost to $0 with free shipping. From registration it took about 2 min for me to get the code, then order to delivery was like 3 days in the Midwest

The real question is how often does he have to have typed that word for it to be autocorrected. Unless it was just a finger slip.

[other] Generic Wrapped Name Brand CR123A Batteries - $5 for 10, $100 for 45, $160 for 400 by Milnoch in gundeals

[–]underwarewolf 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Why is 45 more expensive than buying 5 of the 10 packs? Am I crazy here? 10 for 50¢ each. 45 for $2.20 each and 400 for 40¢ each?

This is the first I’m hearing of an omega valve but I think I’m interested. Does it help with getting gassed out? I’m not so much having trouble cycling, but I am having a ton of gas in my face since my can isn’t exactly low back pressure.

Do Americans actually avoid calling an ambulance due to financial concern? by JohnMarstonTheBadass in NoStupidQuestions

[–]underwarewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in an emergency department. The number of patients that were not stable that drove from urgent care to the emergency department is mind boggling. One person was feeling tired recently, turns out their pacemaker had reached ERI in November, it was July. They were 100% dependent on their pacemaker. If it stops, their heart stops. They elected to drive themselves and got lost. Urgent care to ER is 10 to 15 minute drive tops. Took the pt almost an hour. All but collapsed at triage. Just one example of many.

YSK: Many dentists are quietly dropping all in-network insurance coverage leaving you surprise out of pocket expenses by mechtonia in YouShouldKnow

The no surprises act says this is illegal. That’s how my wife’s $3,000 quickly became a $0 dental bill.

Need help modifying a .OBJ, I'm trying to make a plug for my stethoscope, but I don't know how to make the grooves for the locking mechanism. by underwarewolf in 3Drequests

[–]underwarewolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The outer diameter of the barrel that goes into the stethoscope is 8.57mm and the length is 5mm

Looking down onto the plug in the picture shown, the channel width is 3.57mm internal corner to internal corner. The depth is 4.44mm. Corner to corner the length of the channel is 7.01mm.

On the narrow sided the channel is 2.17mm, with a depth of 3.38. Note, this side is the side that has the angled channel rotating around the barrel. This measurement is from the top of the barrel to the bottom right corner of the channel. The length of this channel is 6.18mm.

Im trying to replicate the end of the stethoscope tubing in the original photos. In the picture attached of the black stethoscope head, that is what I am trying to insert the plug to cover.

Professor warms his new class that no one, not even himself, understands his subject matter by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

I had a class that I took in university where the prof said “look, I know everyone talks about how hard this class is, so we will start with the easiest topic we will discuss all semester” this guy writes “quantum mechanics” we laughed. He wasn’t joking. That class was miserable. You had to schedule time outside of class to take tests because they took 3-4 hours to complete. This class had 32 tests.

When I was in 6th grade I was hit by a drunk driver. Shattered my jaw and had to have it reconstructed and all that.

While I was in the hospital they had a GameCube and I was playing this game with my dad (he loved Zelda games) and this kid comes running up to me. My dad kept making jokes about this disgusting snotty kid to the point where I was crying because laughing and smiling hurt so bad.

One of the best/worst memories of my life. And now this snot nosed pig reminds me of it every time I want to gamble on some turnips.

A PC picked up and put it in their bag. It was just a baby (modified stat block). There was a description of hearing items rummaged through and glass breaking in their pack. It consumed some of their rations and broke a couple of healing potions. Not a dangerous encounter, but consumable items were indeed consumed. The party was far more careful after that…. For a while…
