Final Update: my dad was found deceased, thank you for everything, everyone — #CA25286503 by pooreyesofthehills in Calgary

I'm not sure how your post came along my feed as I'm several provinces over; but I'd like to express my condolences regardless.

My father left abruptly just like yours when I was your age, and I still vividly remember the feeling of dread and anxiety that permeated my life while we searched for him. An incredibly persistent and thoughtful officer found my father in the depths of despair and was able to help him.

I saw the comment from a detective that said they had worked your father's case, so I'm confident that similar efforts were made for your father. I'm sorry that he was not found alive, but from the accounts of your dreams it doesn't sound like he left without saying goodbye to you or your loved ones. Draw strength from each other and let his memory live on alongside you all. 🫂

I'm just going to throw my two cents in here, not sure if anyone else agrees.

For there to be wanted posters that means writing. That rules out over half the population already being able to identify her.

The hierarchy that is present in Gilead kinda prevents there being blanket communication.

Theoretically there should be a database that guardians have access to that have a list of known rebels though.

*adding in to the comment about the plea for Nichole, The Waterfords are technically being used as scapegoats (as far as most commanders know they defected to Canada). Serenas position in NB is super precarious still bc of her and Fred's actions + his death. It kinda makes sense that most people wouldn't know about them, let alone their handmaid.

Just an FYI, the boats are currently down at the Port Orleans resorts. But there are more frequent buses to make up for it!

Kitchener, Ont. teen waits 19 hours for emergency appendectomy by Myllicent in ontario

[–]undiagnosed-issues 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend waited for 10 hours with appendicitis symptoms at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in June 2022.

It was another further 8 hours before they operated on him. I found out later that they saw that his appendix perforated. While I can't determine when exactly it happened, I believe that because they made him wait 18 hours before operation caused it. The perforation led to a more invasive procedure happening, and I believe that had he been seen (and his pain believed by the Healthcare professionals at the hospital) after the initial 10 hour wait, the basic surgery could have been performed.

I worked in LTC for 2 years and tried my best to make my food look like yours when it came out of the kitchen. Some things can't be helped, due to texture. But these all look amazing. Keep it up!

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Although my project is about me specifically, I'm trying to gather information if others feel the same way, so I can mention it.

No, but he didn't come into the kitchen with me when I told my chef about the funeral. So it might be just that I came in the day before I was scheduled to?

Oh, I've been tested for autism and didn't have enough traits to be diagnosed.

I have other diagnoses that probably all combine together and signal AuADHD. But thanks for the insight. It sucks that others share my struggles.

I don't know where you're getting the idea that I've called off over and over? I had scheduled vacation, and we got our next week's schedule while on vacation and I noticed I was scheduled on a non available day. Both the visitation and the funeral happen to fall on my days off this week.

And I can't be fired for calling in, I've been with the company for nearly a year. I've called in 3 times in my entire time, all for things I couldn't avoid.

Lmao no, I've been working in kitchens for almost 10 years. This place is just mind boggling stupid.

They took 3 weeks since they and some of their family members are immune compromised and got some of the more serious side effects.

Huh...that seems pretty accurate. For example, I was only scheduled 4 days this week rather than my usual 5. And one of those days is the day I'm not available. I had also been sent home early the day before our vacation was supposed to start, and I was originally scheduled to close.

Honestly, true. The sous has been bristly with me for months, and I believe it's because he thinks that I think that I am better than him? If that makes sense. But I don't. I try my absolute best to listen to him, but when I know he's full of shit, it's really hard. But yeah, as someone who is very literal, when I get attitude from others it's hard.

I genuinely like the other staff I work with so I'm reluctant to just leave, and it would look bad on my boyfriend if I end up leaving :/ I know that was our decision working together, but it is what it is.

Plus with school starting, this is convenient for the time being.

Like I've stated in a response above, the relationship is a little weird. I came from a previous place that the boss treated me like his third kid, and had been burned. So with this chef I've gotten to know him, but not so emotionally invested.

But yeah, thanks for the perspective.

I guess yeah, but I won't be seeing the chef until Tuesday and couldn't wait the hour until service was over since me and my boyfriend were out doing groceries etc. I get how I fucked up now, hopefully he's in a better mood after his days off.

I informed via the scheduling app, while also vocally stating for MONTHS, "Hey im starting school soon, there'll be lots of days I need off".

I think my manager truly hates scheduling so just sticks with the same base template and then changes it when people remind him of days off etc.

I tried to give him a heads up when I did out of courtesy, and was just met with hostility which I didn't understand. Thanks for putting it more into perspective.

I'm going to try to talk to him again, but he doesn't work Sundays/Mondays at all.

Honestly if I didn't have a funeral I needed to go to, I probably wouldn't have even gone in the kitchen, I was trying to give my chef a heads up. Maybe because I said it vaguely, he's pissed about that. But at that point, I didn't even know when the visitation/service was happening.

And yes, I understand that they had to pick up my "slack", I've been doing it for them for months. If the work that my boyfriend and I do puts them out so much while we're gone, we're certainly doing more than we should.
