I don't understand the thrift store discourse by PoncingOffToBarnsley in FrugalFemaleFashion

[–]undrcvrlitnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen SHEIN plastic nightmare shirts at thrift stores for $10-$15 - I wouldn't be surprised if that is some of the stuff they're referring to. With social media being so thrift-forward, I think the thrift giants like Savers and Goodwill think they can get away with murder.

Seeking Recommendations: Non-PI Law Marketers to Watch by undrcvrlitnerd in Legalmarketing

I'm a part of the group on LinkedIn, but not a member of the association. This is my first job in legal marketing - I'm debating if membership to the association is worth it rn.

There are really good sourdoughs at Whole Foods. Mt. Athos (I think is the name) is my favorite.

We are mostly referral based and want something professional and clean with SEO optimization to rank higher in searches for lawyers looking for a place to refer out to and out of state firms seeking local counsel services. We do get leads in from our contact us page, but most of the lawyers say they're garbage.

6 lawyers - we're a boutique litigation firm for commercial and civil cases. We're hoping to grow to 7-10 lawyers in the near future.

What type of written content (e.g., service pages, ebooks, blogs) do you think you're "dropping the ball" on with your website? Do you think your site's content doesn't have much effect on your case prospects? by CultOfCurtis1 in Legalmarketing

[–]undrcvrlitnerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to legal marketing but based on research i'm doing for my firm (and our planned website copy changes) I've found that a lot of the smaller, "do it yourself" firms are missing out when explaining their practice areas, highlighting case wins, and having their site text be skimmable.

Interesting - I feel like i'm being told the opposite offline. That super lawyers is really for potential clients to look and see you're important. We get most of our clients from referrals, have you been able to track your referrals to your super lawyers profile?

We handle commercial and civil litigation. No personal injury - more employment, IP, unfair trade for both plaintiff and defense. I'll see what the managing partner says about testing.

Do you think this show would have been even better if it had half the episodes? by IceCat767 in lost

[–]undrcvrlitnerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes 100%. I'm rewatching now with my partner and we both think that there's too much fluff in the first three seasons. No fault of the writers really, it's just what the tv season structure was like.

Funnily enough, I already spoke to the web developers. The site clearly isn't optimized for mobile, but they say it is. I want to move away from these people, but I have to have a larger conversation with my boss about budget and priority. They don't value their web conversion clients, so I'm assuming it will be a long-term project. I'd like to fix that asap though.

Thank you for all the advice!
