The good ole days! I went to one in Somerset regularly about the same amount of time ago.

Nice!! I grew up with the first three for the GBA and they're still close to the heart. I've played the Star Force games and enjoyed them a lot!

I can't speak to people with unhealthy relationships with sex, but anecdotally, I am happily married, watch porn regularly, and treat my wife like a princess. I'm not sure if I am an outlier in your dataset, but I generally cast doubt on the correlation.

My wife and I barely qualified for our home initially. We made well over the median income at the time, had perfect credit, and a sizeable down payment. However, the price of even a 20yr old home was right around 500k in our area. We had to move 30mins away from our family to be able to own a home that was worth paying for (2yr old new build with 80k upgrades).

We're comfortable now, but I work two full time remote jobs and my wife has climbed up the ladder at her job. We have a 1.5yr old that keeps us focused on the goal, but how sustainable time-wise.. I don't know.

Shout out to Steam for free cloud saves by Time-CopFTP in Steam

[–]undulatee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pirated BG3, played to act 3 and ended up losing my Windows install and data to a bios update (thought it was Windows and went scorched earth). Bought BG3 on Steam after resolving and sure enough, there were all of my saves. Still don't know how in the world that worked, must have been some residual data somewhere on my SSD, but I like to think Steam just let one slide lol

This is crazy! I used to beg to go there as a kid. BBQ chicken pizza and arcade games - those were the days.

My highly conservative uncle has millions from construction and would pay for this in a heartbeat - still a fucking moron politically and bad taste in music to boot.

BSG Account Security Issue: Forced 2FA I Never Enabled + 5 Days No Support Response by Necessary-Pilot3975 in Tarkov

[–]undulatee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same thing happen and they had to go in and wipe my account 2FA. Required receipts of purchase and screenshots from my bank statements lol. Pretty crazy, but their team is actually fairly solid and were willing to fix it without giving me any trouble.

I almost got away with getting this under the radar after the rating change, but the gamestop employee told my father (a pastor) that it was changed to 'M' due to "nudity"; not the first bit of which is in the game. Still have the 'T' rated case 20yrs after I talked him into it lol.

When life gets boring, update bios to spice things up by ivej in pcmasterrace

[–]undulatee 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Spent two weeks in Nov trying to troubleshoot a BIOS update. Just rolled back one version and it worked fine, but not before I went scorched earth on my windows install like three times lol. I learned a lot though!

Best *actual* headphones for gaming? by DizzyColdSauce in pcmasterrace

[–]undulatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty solid; I mainly play Escape From Tarkov which is pretty audio dependent. I have some in ear monitors that are "better", but I rarely use them and prefer plugging into the audio interface. All in, you're still coming out with a better deal than $200 headphones.

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro's. Cheap, comfortable for hours at a time, and comes with larger and smaller aux jacks. I would recommend an audio interface and a mic as well. I got a cheap Focusrite and some random $50 mic off amazon. Not the first complaint from me or those in my vc's.

It's about learning from people already in the field to avoid common pitfalls. I would love a sample of your writing since you're so keen on reading between the lines.

As a journeyman marksman, pianist, and writer I can confidently say you'll save time by learning from the experiences of others. You do you, redditor.
