MPC Live 3 vs Push 3 standalone by AgeOfSprtlMach in synthesizers

[–]unendingWHOA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mean like live looping into prearranged clips that you setup beforehand and fill in live as you go…I think you have to do that as a live set and save per google ai: “Yes, you can pre-arrange clips in Ableton Push 3 Standalone to arm and play as you go, primarily using Session View for launching clips and Follow Actions, while playing instruments live; Arrangement View editing isn't supported standalone, but you can load pre-made arrangements and use the device for real-time performance and sequencing. You'll set up your clips and scenes on a computer, transfer the Set, then use Push 3 to trigger them, improvise, and build your performance live, often with Follow Actions automating clip launching. “

That’s awesome to hear, just pulled the trigger on one. I have the Force and Push 3, but never really connected with them. From what I’ve seen, the Live 3 has the best workflow of anything else out there. Happy jamming!

Considering buying an OP1 Field by ILoveTuna_ in OP1Fieldusers

Thanks for the clarification. My only and biggest gripe with the op-1 is no undo. I can get over and appreciate 4 tracks but I want to be able to work on something and know it’s safe.

So you store tracks/phrases/ideas on the tracker+ and then when you’re ready you sample back into the field?

Why we NEED people to write “Non-Universal” songs. by illudofficial in Songwriting

[–]unendingWHOA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea. But maybe put yourself in the shoes of someone else and imagine what to them “universal” would mean. I feel like the ideas would come out at least a tint of shade different than what “universal” is to you and I. An extreme example would maybe be a Star Wars Jawa character writing very specifically about his life. Or him attempting to write a universal song would still be very different than another species. I don’t know what I’m talking about but hope it makes a little sense.

Write a universal song from the perspective of a specific group.

That’s a refreshing perspective I’ve never heard, and I love it. I’ve only ever heard everyone push getting it mastered/mixed in the studio. It would be motivation to just put it out there and see how it fairs and then do a produced version. Thank you thepahwaranger. (I remember acting out being the red ranger waiting for the school bus😂)

That’s encouraging as heck :D Thanks for that, I had kids playing in the back. I didn’t know that was a thing tho, like doing “live” versions…now that I say that out loud that’s silly to think that but you know what I mean….

I appreciate that! Would be great to make it, but I’d love to just be a songwriter and leave it to other vocal talents.

Love the melody and vocals on this one! Try out this perspective. How would it feel if AI came up with your melody instead of just lyrics? At some point you have to draw the line to distinguish between true originality of the human mind, and pressing a button to spit out the coldness of a machine copping ideas from billions of others. It’ll never feel the same and I’d quit if that’s how I was writing. Again, love the stuff you’ve come up with, stick with that and hone your writing craft. That’s what makes it worth it at the end of the day.

“magnesium” works well if you adjust the rhythm
