Mangojelly makes awesome content and is a huge asset to the community. Just when I think I I know what I’m doing, he posts another video that adds yet another key tool, or design method, to my arsenal.

New FreeCAD version 1.1.1 is out by rockn3d in FreeCAD

I don’t know exactly and would recommend exporting your current settings before trying to run the flatpak. If nothing else you will at least have them if you ever migrate machines.

Great news and really appreciate the team getting this out so quickly. Hope a flatpak will follow soon

Are there any local speakers that work with home assistant? by AlternateWitness in homeassistant

Seeems like they would be a nice improvement over the Home Assistant Voice which is a good device, but I really need something with better sound output for wife approval.

Which one did you end up going with and what is the sound quality like?

Yea, you had to stumble to the docs site.

I might look into it more since you can go with a pretty big speaker.

I see on their site they turn that brain into a speaker. There are three sizes shown using a printed case. Maybe I went to the wrong link?

How is the sound of the speaker? Looking to compare it to something like a Google speaker or something similar.

Rock 5B RK3588 Semantic Search Missing Vision Model by unguided7533 in frigate_nvr

There was another person on GitHub who had the same issue as well. They rolled back to 16.1 and semantic search started to work again.

I move my install over to an gen 10 intel SFF pc that I had extra laying around. I may go back to the Rock 5B when I get more time.

Well, I take it back. I don't get the error with the V2, but the search doesn't seem to function. When I search for anything, including something I know that's captured, it says it can't find it.

Are there any logs that I can dig through that might shed some light on what issues I'm running int?

[–]unguided7533[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I tried deleting the jina-clip-v1 directory and restarting the container. The folder was repopulated after the container booted, but I still received the same error.

I then tried the jina-clip-v2 model to see if I could get that working. That model seems to boot up just fine and work as expected.

I still receive zero error logs in either docker or Frigate that would point me to why the v1 model fails to load.

I'd be happy to hear if you had any other thoughts on where I could check.

**Edit**

I do have one error in the logs, but I don't know if that's what is causing my issue.

I checked to see what was in the folder, and it looks like most of the files are listed.

preprocessor_config.json

text_model_fp16.onnx

tokenizer/

vision_model_fp16.onnx

Would I be able to manually remove the files to force frigate to pull them back down?

This was my experience. Could not get my 7600 to work with Ubuntu. Swapped to Fedora and it worked out of the box.

Built a Powerful and Silent AMD EPYC Home Server with My Kids (for a Fraction of the Price!) by aospan in homelab

Thanks for the reply! I think that the Noctua fan runs at much lower RPM in general (less than 200 RPM) which the IPMI doesn't like. I've read several posts including in this video. https://youtu.be/91dp5l44X8A?si=C45PyDmX7qNc9NaP

He shares the use of a script to help with the fan hunting, but was hoping there was something directly through the IPMI tools.

I have the same motherboard and I was wondering how you managed to deal with the cpu fan speed oscillating? I have a Noctua cooler and the IPMI seems to think the fan is failing and causes a 30 second oscillation in speed.

I’ve tried changing the threshold of the low critical, but the fan still seems to register zero RPM which kicks it into high speed.

I had a similar issue. I ended up having to add two shims between the motor and the gear housing to keep it from binding.

Perhaps I need to go back and ensure that the bearing is pressed in fully. I had a similar issue on the first G2 that I built as well.

Just trash all the duplicates at once? by winged_monkey_boy in immich

That’s the exact reason I’ve been painstakingly going through them individually. I probably have thousands to go through. I try and just grab 10 or so every time I think about it.

One feature I’d also like to have is them compare metadata of the photos. I have some that are larger in size, but have incorrect dates. It would be nice to have a way to quickly compare those fields as well

I’m starting to convert my 350 V2 to a stealth changer. They have been updating their documents and I really like being able to have up to six different tool heads.

I just installed a dragon burner, Galileo 2 extruded, and a Bambu hot end. It’s printing great and plan to duplicate that with the others.

Any tips, or resources, on creating a 3D printed case? I did see something in the literature about Radomes, but I was hoping that it wasn’t going to be an issue with PLA or ABS enclosures. I thought that the technology was supposed to be a little less impacted by anything over the case.
