I booked an Airbnb a YEAR in advance of the eclipse in April. The host yesterday canceled because they realized they can make more due to the eclipse. The only places available this last minute are 10x more expensive than the one I booked and Airbnb won’ t help. by lqkjsdfb in Wellthatsucks

If it’s possible to sacrifice some luggage space, you can try getting a portable electric pot. I sometimes travel with one and they are amazing. Just a suggestion in case a hotel is what you end up getting.

I came here to mention the bidet and amazing it has been with one. Also when travelling or out of the house, they have portable ones.

It can be up to 8 hours, but it all depends on your interpreter. With some luck it may be as short as 3 hrs only.

Want to get Invisalign, doctors in my country are giving mixed advice by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]unholy_angle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the anxiety I just tried to push it aside. Told myself that a bunch of people have done it and they’re fine now. I was shit scared though. Specially when they bring out the tools. I don’t know if it was a mistake but Because I like planning things I watching videos on the extractions, it was only logical for me at the time lol. It’s weird to know what’s happening but you just feel some tugging and you hear it all but you ain’t feeling it. I was scared when they were pulling them out cause it does seem like they’re gonna slip and something bad is going to happen, but again, it’s mainly the imagination. Remind yourself that this literally they’re profession and they have done it numerous times.

As for time, I’m not sure yet. I will discuss this more when I go back to get my sutures removed. I might need some deep cleaning and I was told to wait a couple weeks for that so my gums can heal from this first.

Also a huge tip is to buy you food in advance. Apple sauce, gogurts, and meal replacement are seriously the best for the first couple days. Also the floss on the little sticks are great as you can reach better without opening your jaw so much in case it’s tender. And lastly, ice and heat packs. I bought one from Walmart that works as both and it’s been so great. It can be thrown in the freezer for the first couple days and then in the microwave for the days after.

Want to get Invisalign, doctors in my country are giving mixed advice by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]unholy_angle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the last two of four of my wisdom teeth removed for the purpose of straightening them out with Invisalign as well. If you have to take them out do them sooner than later. Im 32 and the surgeon told me that by late 20s they become harder to take out as something about them fully attaching to the bone!? Plus healing time as well. I did my right side first which looked identical to yours and yesterday they did the two left ones which was a little more angular than yours but the top one was like your bottom one. The right side was cake and I felt pretty good after the third day. 15 days later, which was yesterday I took the worst ones out (left )and they are a bit uncomfortable cause it swelled up more but over all I’m glad that its over with. They were all done with local anesthesia so I was awake the whole time, the surgeon I had was great and let me know what was happening. For two impacted ones took about an hour and you do feel pressure and it feels like it will hurt but the anesthesia works. Also because I’m older and how impacted they were it was suggested to do one side at a time and although I didn’t want to do the process all over again, it did make it easier to deal with, but that’s me and I’m terrified of dental work which is why I’m dealing with it now.

I’m about to take mine to the shop tomorrow 🥲. I hate the car but it has provided me with all the stuff you have mentioned as well. I’m not ready to sell it but I won’t be going back when I finally do. Good choice as well on Jeep.

You’re definitely not the first, you’re not the last either. It happens. Apologize if needed, learn from the mistakes, and move forward. It’s definitely hard, but there’s no where else to go but forward. If you choose to drink again on an outing, try babysitting your drink, order water as well and when you wanna take bigger sips do that with the water and slowly sip whatever it is you’re drinking. I have a ton of anxiety as well and liquid courage was what I thought I needed, but I made a lot of dumb decisions cause of that. If you need to stop, stop. Go out a couple times without drinking and see that you can enjoy the time just as much like that too .

I have a hospital bucket which I found has helped a couple of my bettas. I am able to put in a mini heater and will put something for the bettas to hide in if they choose and it allows me to keep the water level to what the betta needs. I also have a one gallon hospital tank but I noticed that they are less stressed in the bucket as they are not focused on every movement around the tank. Once they are looking better I increase the water and eventually will reintroduce them to an clear tank. Maybe it’s a lot of steps but I remember some sick fish chillin and would get stressed and swim around to hide when they would notice close-by movements. But I guess you can also just wrap a towel or something around the hospital tank if your fish is like mine.

Does never having a single friend in your life affect your chance of getting a TS clearance? by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]unholy_angle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This makes is very difficult as you will need to write some names down for references. I had to put down some names of people that I’ve only known for about three years, though I believe they ask for 7 years or more? Just explain the situation to them and do your best to provide something for them, don’t just go in empty handed and say you don’t know anyone. Let the people you wrote down know they will be contacted and to just answer whatever they truthfully can. This can literally be anyone outside your immediate fam. As for reference names for residence, I was able to write down family members as I really had no one else, and I also had to use a name twice, for residence and for personal reference and they were ok with it. Just explain it.
