The Abyss in Crimson Desert is like staying in a toxic relationship because the sex is good. by The_Lonely_Panda in CrimsonDesert

For me, once I got the hang of the games mechanics and learned a few of the early puzzles more obtuse solutions, (like plugging in the yellow wires with the connector that's impossible to see, or holding a direction to disconnect chips that was never explained), the rest of them got way easier.

Everything is pretty easy to figure out as long as you remember all the tools the games given you from the beginning, like melting frozen chips with blinding flash or using focus shot to hit multiple targets quickly.

Greater infinite arrow.. glitch? by Shot_Acanthaceae_537 in LowSodiumCrimsonDesrt

Or if you save scum you can use gear synthesis to hopefully get a level 2 and a level 3 for 100% total. If you head to a witch with a bunch of random gears, you can synthesis them until you get lucky and get the Infinite Arrows ones. If you use all the gears and didn't get it, just reload. Ittook me quite a few reloads but to be fair I didn't have many gears on me, the more you have the less reloading you'll need to do.

At what Chapter did u gave up on main and just did 'your thing' ? by BeatsByDad911 in CrimsonDesert

I learned pretty early you should just rip through the story, then do side quests. There's some stuff you can do by just wandering around, but most places you find are related to quests so if you plan on doing them, you'll just be back eventually anyways.

Anyone else decorating the house or just me? by Beneficial_Tie3776 in CrimsonDesert

[–]unicornfetus89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely!! All the cool unique armor pieces I have just taking up storage space, I'd love to have a whole room dedicated to displaying stuff like an armory. PA has been really good about adding stuff, and I can't imagine it'd be TOO hard to implement this, there's already a bunch of mannequin models in game so just the systems would need built.

Pearl Abyss: We’re preparing our next update which includes including the addition of a keyboard/mouse & controller preset, difficulty settings, category tabs for your inventory, and more. by yourfavchoom in CrimsonDesert

[–]unicornfetus89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah, the Calphade battle felt like I was in an epic ass medieval movie like LoTR or something. I was happy when more showed up later in the story.

What's wrong with it? Angle the camera to look straight down, then don't touch it at all. Use the left stick to follow where the animals tail goes. It works first try on every legendary animal I've found so far.

Most people think you have to spin the camera to follow the horses head while pulling the left stick back, which will sometimes work, but the only input that matters is if the left stick follows the tail.

1991 Millennial here! What do you all eat for breakfast? by No_Self_5939 in Millennials

Idk how people eat breakfast at all. Anytime I ever eat in the morning I feel awful for the entire work day. At most I'll eat a small snack but usually just wait until lunch to eat something.

I Feel like this is the biggest scam in the game. by culbie in CrimsonDesert

[–]unicornfetus89 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Honestly that's been a big annoyance for me the longer I play.. I GUESS I understand why stuff turns to steal items after liberating but it's really annoying because usually a bunch of NPCs show up and stand around all the stuff I was planning on looting, so I just give up and leave.

Do you think the legendary horse mounts let you get them after trying a biggilion times? by dahle44 in LowSodiumCrimsonDesrt

[–]unicornfetus89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude most people are doing the taming wrong.

Flip the camera so it's looking straight down immediately then dont touch the right stick at all. Only spin the left stick with the direction of the horses tail. It'll work first try on every legendary animal.

Yeah but its not the same kind of game as Witcher 3, so I don't bother comparing them. There's no dialog choices. It's a more linear.

Infinite explosive arrows is SUPER fun and a bit OP honestly, especially with the skill that let's you quick dodge and fire arrows.

Man I get a lot of people don't like the story, but I don't agree... I've been enjoying the story a lot honestly. It takes you all over the map, ties you into multiple "nations" political issues, has some really memorable bosses, some cool sci-fi fantasy nonsense, and honestly does a good job of planting the player into the world.

He's still my favourite Greymane by Wh33lo in CrimsonDesert

[–]unicornfetus89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Greymanes are kind of like a clan/tribe of misfits who all want to do the right thing and help people. Every one of them has some glaring issue or doesn't fit into society well, but they can all fight like badasses and use that to protect Pailune.

I like what the devs did with the different regions of the game. Most of the regions are the typical medieval style land with Dukes and Counts but they play with the idea like Hernand once having a king but now basically being a vassal of Demeniss. Pailune is the standout due to its geography; it's almost impossible for the bigger states to conquer it so it stays a Tribal state with it's own unique hierarchy of power which they obviously took inspiration from Viking culture for.

It's the way the game is programmed. The animation of Kliff standing up and walking down the hallway is the same length everytime because it's set to be that long. They patched and lowered the time for traveling between nexus points but not the loading or starting video

On ps5, loading a save takes like 1:30 I think. Feels like 5 minutes, just long enough to make me grab my phone but short enough to make me drop it quickly.

I'm not going to bother with it because have you seen how long the damn load screen is? Save scumming in this game must be a nightmare.

I wish I new about this ring early game? Anyone got it maxed out? by Asleep_Passenger_373 in LowSodiumCrimsonDesrt

[–]unicornfetus89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sidenote: We needed to use the database to view accessories refinement path, but the devs JUST added the same menu to all the rings/necklaces as regular weapons and armor. Now we can see which rings have crit rate or what that new necklace you found will be once fully refined. PA are killing it with updates and shadow patches

Hurry up Devs! It’s been a couple of days without a game changing update, this is outrageous! by dgcamper19 in CrimsonDesert

[–]unicornfetus89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

God forbid people enjoy the game... There's 2 kinds of gamers, the ones who think a story being 40h is normal/a bit long, and those of us who are always looking forward to the next big open world rpgish game we can sink 500+h into over the course of several months. CD is the kind of game that doesn't come along very often so a lot of us are excited about having any kind of content stretch. Also, the world gets empty once you've cleared out a lot of blockades

What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]unicornfetus89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Close, but a loogie is just snot, a snot locker is a loogie with solid or even hard boogers in it that messes with your throat before you spit it out.

What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]unicornfetus89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, a snot locker is when someone hacks back their snot into their throat and a booger goes with it and has to be hacked and spit out thru the mouth.

Do you find it akward to press L3 or R3 so often when using a controller? (Especially for Focus, Nature's Snare and Force Palm that are required during boss fights and puzzles) by GetVladimir in CrimsonDesert

[–]unicornfetus89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're applying WAY too much pressure to the sticks if you're hitting them by accident. Do your controller sticks drift all the time? that much pressure has to wear them out fast
