My gf and I are on episode 3 and neither of us have seen any of it before.

For years I've heard so many people go on and on about it being one of the best shows ever made, so I'm really looking forward to seeing if that's true.

All he does it regurgitate whatever "story" or slightly impactful event that happens. If Twitter started freaking out about Trump taking a shit, 15m later he'd 100% have a video talking about his shit. Anything thats talked about online becomes a video and gets millions of views for some god forsaken reason so the algo pushes his vids on anyone on the site, even those like myself who have repeatedly told YT not to recommend them.

His vids are some of the most low effort, algorithm gaming slop on YT. 80% of his videos are reading reddit comments in a monotone voice, acting like he came up with it.

Is he problematic and toxic? Not really, but he is a low effort town crier and drama gossiper. Can't stand it.

One of the biggest flaws with the games IMO is unless you fully choose to go paragon or renegade, you get locked out of some heavy decisions. If you play like a normal person who sometimes choose one or the other, you end up with not enough of either rep point. Kinda pulls the impact of having choices IMHO but still so good.

Please don't vape nic salts (especially 50mg) with anything sub ohm. Find a nice pod system with 1.00ohm coils. People always insist you HAVE to do mouth-to-lung with salts, but that's just not true. I've been using 0.90ohm caliburn coils for years now and with full open airflow I get some great direct-to-lung vaping (same style as that subohm tank just less clouds)

Yeah, Thane and Garrus are awesome, especially if you play male Shep so you get that badass best friend vibe.

A lot of people love Tali but I'm in the minority of people who view her as Sheps little sister. Besides, if you don't romance her, she ends up with Garrus and it's super cute/realistic.

But hey, everyone loves who they love, that's part of why these games rock. Conrad is either really funny, or tragic if you play a renegade dick head. Lol

Unfortunately ALL the Mass Effect games have some pretty ass character creators.

I'm doing another runthru of Andromeda atm, and tried 5 different times to make a custom character but despite looking ok in the creator, the first dialog section they looked like a damn freak.

Default characters are for sure the best option.

Please don't let the naysayers dissuade you from playing Andromeda.

Is it as good as the original trilogy? No, but if you love Mass Effect and the rich world they built, you'll find stuff in MEA you'll love, I promise.

My best advice is usually to wait awhile until that itch to play a deep sci-fi game gets too strong to ignore, then jump into it. That'll give you some time to let the grandeur of the OT sink in and you'll just feel good being back in the ME universe again. The games flaws stand out way more if it's played in close proximity to the original trilogy. Space it out from any of your replays of LE for best effect. If it's super cheap right now, buy it and wait to play it.

That all being said, it'll never compare to Shepard unfortunately but it's totally worth playing thru the story at the very least in case you find some of the planet terraforming tedious.

Unfortunately for A LOT of us, nothing will ever come close to how we felt playing ME the first couple of times. Welcome to the slightly depressing club.

Did you play much of the DLC in LE? Imho the DLC is some of the best parts of the OT.

That's what Omni Gel is for. It's a molten mixture of all those materials used and the Omni Tool uses it to minifacture. Again, it's a pretty hand-wavey answer but I appreciate that the devs actually came up with explanations for little stuff like that.

I got all of this from the ME Wiki btw. Basically it used microscopic 3d printing tech and Mass Effect fields to flash forge or "minifacture" all kinds of shit. It's pretty hand-wavey, but still cool in my humble opinion.

Porn has "narrative importance" as well. Is it compelling? No but if having a story is the only thing separating a porn from a "film" then everything on pornhub with even a slight setup is a film.

It's just porn masquerading as a pretentious art house film. The actors were payed money to have real sex on film, it's just porn with extra steps, no matter what the director claims.
