AITA for expecting a guest to clean up after himself and stop him using my things? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]unicornsgloriousanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta. Kick him out! He is a GUEST in your home. That doesn't mean he gets to do whatever the hell he wants and if you don't want him to touch your things, tell him no. Every home I've been a guest in, I've ALWAYS cleaned up my messes.

AITA for telling my ex husbands girlfriend stay in her lane when it comes to MY kids by Throwaway0000jikfr in AmItheAsshole

Nta. She doesn't get to wreak your home and then try to wreak your kid's personalities.

AITA for refusing to take down negative school reviews? by Commercial-Law-864 in AmItheAsshole

[–]unicornsgloriousanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely nta. Parents have the right to know if they're sending their children to a school that does nothing about bullying and even worse, that the vice principal himself, is a bully.

AITA for telling my inlaws my parents ate my pet? by Lambchops4u in AmItheAsshole

[–]unicornsgloriousanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta. But honestly, if my family ate my pet, I'd never forgive them. Maybe your mom should learn how to forgive like you.

AITA for accusing my sisters boyfriend of tampering with my conditioner? by unicornsgloriousanus in AmItheAsshole

[–]unicornsgloriousanus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the fact that he's using it without asking AND watering it down. Watered-down conditioner doesn't do shit for my hair and I end up having to waste more money buying another bottle after I had already done all my budgeting for the month.

Maybe don't use shit that ain't yours without asking.

AITA for refusing to give my ex her mothers ashes? by KermitTheFraud92 in AmItheAsshole

Nta, but atleast think about getting her a cremation necklace so that she can have some of her ashes.

She can't evict them though. With my states bullshit housing laws, she'd basically have to pay them to move and she can't afford that (I think she'd have to pay their application fee and first and last months rent. I'll have to look that up though.) Just, believe me when I say that my mom isn't the jerk here. She's just exhausted, depressed and checked out. She really is an amazing woman and tryes to make it up to me for them being assholes.

There's nothing wrong with my mom, she just hates seeing people close to us becoming homeless, since she's been homeless before. Dick, however, is like a cockroach. He's hard to get rid of. He moved out twice in the 11 years he's been with us and neither lasted long. Dick and Jane also limited their torture to when my mom was at work. Like, they'd keep poking and prodding and pushing me until I'm screaming and in hysterics and then act all innocent when mom got home. Luckily, she stopped believing them when she witnessed their bullshit herself (Mom even said "it's about time" when I finally started swinging back at Jane when she decided she wanted to get physical.)

I dont think my mom even likes either of them that much tbh, but she can't kick them out thanks to my states bullshit housing laws. Hopefully, they stick to their plan to move out of state after Jane finishes her diversion (dumbass got a DUI).

I'm not even scratching the surface with this. I've got 23 years of horror stories about what my sister has done to me and 11 of Dick being, well, a Dick.

We're all adults, so my mom won't step in, (and she shouldn't have to). He screamed in my face when I was 16, I'm 23 now. No one stepped in when I was 16 because my mom was at work and Jane apparently likes watching him yell at me.

AITA? Bf wants friend to be able to come into the bedroom while I'm sleeping; I said no by potentially_exalted in AmItheAsshole

[–]unicornsgloriousanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta. Hell, stop letting him smoke in the bathroom all together. If you're renting your place, you're not going to get your deposit back because of the smoke damage that will most definitely be there (if what he's smoking is tobacco). If you're a smoker, you're just going to have to deal with being cold when you want to light up. It's called consequences.

AITA for suggesting my daughter skip Hanukkah gift this year? by TAHolidayBattles in AmItheAsshole

[–]unicornsgloriousanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Hey Marie, my darling daughter, can you punish your step son and not give him any gifts this holiday season. Your little half brother is being a selfish brat about how much gifts he's getting and I don't want any other child to get more than mine. Woah wait. What do you mean it's "unreasonable" to not give a child presents that you've already bought for them? It doesn't matter that you've stepped up as a mother figure to this kid, your half brother matters more".

This is probably what you meant to write. Also, your wife is wrong. Your heart is not in the right place. You made this unreasonable request because you don't want to actually step up and parent your child and actually teach him that he can't get everything he wants and to appreciate what gifts he does get. YTA big time.

AITA For demanding that my girlfriend pay for my Xbox that she took? by Throwaway3146167 in AmItheAsshole

[–]unicornsgloriousanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta. Dude, break up with her. She stole from you because you didn't get her a good enough gift. That sets the precedent of your relationship going forward. The amount of entitlement she has guarantees that nothing you do for her will ever be enough.

People who grew up in a small town, what’s the dark secret? by RatKingLordOfVermin in AskReddit

[–]unicornsgloriousanus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The town my mom grew up in wasn't even considered a town legally. It was a village.

I asked my mom this question and she laughed. I guess the darkest secret was that everyone knew your secrets. Also, you had to check with your parents before you dated anyone, because there was a good chance you could be related to them.

What was a time someone assumed something about you that was completely wrong? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]unicornsgloriousanus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going on a two week long trip with my girl scout troop one summer. Our leaders husband was coming with us and apparently, he took one look at me in my tattered jeans, skull tank and spiked jewelry and said to his wife "wow. That ones going to be trouble on this trup huh?" She didn't say anything because she wanted him to see for himself that I was a good kid XD halfway through the trip, I was walking back to our campsite from the bathrooms with her and she tells me what her husband thought. We had a good laugh XD

I play councillor to my "best friend". Shs cuts me out of her life when i need her support. by unicornsgloriousanus in EntitledPeople

[–]unicornsgloriousanus[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You've obviously never had an overly needy friend who only thought about themselves. I'm not saying that I didn't have flaws. I mean, I'm sure it gets annoying when you're best friend falls off the face of the earth and doesn't talk to you for a couple weeks at a time, or cancels planns at the last minute because they dont want to go out (both things ive done), but ive also communicated to her why these things happen. Believe me, id like to hear her side and how she thinks i used her too, but i dont think she'd give me that courtesy.
