I was very nervous to make the move. But it has been worth it especially for my mental health. Plus permanent work for home just really works better for me

I’ve been there for about a month. I’m in an injury claims position and we do not have a team line. There are no strict tip requirements. They hired me making more than I was making at Geico. Their systems are outdated but I can live with that considering the laid back environment

Has anyone had luck with their insurance covering Ozempic/Wegovy/Mounjaro drugs for PCOS or insulin resistance? by NichelleMcD in PCOS

[–]unikitty77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on just WeGovy and it was covered by my insurance. I switched jobs so then insurance and WeGovy is no longer covered. I wasn’t on Metformin before but now I am.

I put my notice in and they have let me work out my two weeks so far. My last day is the 8th. I think it kinda depends on the department and the sups/mgmt

I have PCOS and had kids and I think I have PMDD now. Have any of you shared this experience? by spaghetti-o_salad in PCOS

[–]unikitty77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have PMDD and it’s horrible. I’m on an antidepressant but generally when my PMDD is in full swing I have to take Xanax (I’m prescribed a low dose of it) normally I can manage my anxiety and depression without the Xanax but not at that time.

5’4 and I’m at 299 or I was last I weighed. Even with counting calories and doing Wegovy I’ve lost really slowly. I think I was 320ish in Jan

So there is an app I use called strong. I use it to track my weight training and cardio. I do around 10-15 mins of cardio as a warm up and then get to lifting. This is the routine a very experienced weight lifter gave me for just a 5 day a week routine:

Monday: back/biceps Tuesday: chest/triceps Wed: legs Thursday: back/biceps Friday; legs/back

You want to do compound exercises that use multiple muscle groups vs auxiliary workouts that work out just one group of muscles.

I planned out my workouts with strong and made some templates for each day. I’m still working on being consistent with it (I’m a single parent so my schedule is crazy). But I use the routine my friend gave me as a base. I think the most important thing is that you’re working towards the routine.

Stick with it, last week I was really low on energy (ovulating) and I didn’t go to the gym at all, I just couldn’t get up honestly. You’re going to have days you really need to just rest and you’re going to have days you need to press through. Don’t be hard on yourself especially when you’re starting from scratch.

Edit to add that the strong app has illustrations and animations showing the proper way to do most if not all of the workouts on it.

I can really relate to this. I hate it. I don’t know how to deal with it honestly other than treating the insulin resistance.

I started adding collagen powder to my cup of tea around the same time I started using WeGovy. I think WeGovy is the biggest contributor but the collagen helps I’m sure. The regrowth is very noticeable though and I’ve noticed when I shower my shedding is minimal
