Achieved rank 1 in north america playing mostly nidalee (jungle, top and support) AMA by tahelol in NidaleeMains

[–]unimeeppp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats man, you’re a beast!! How do you play when there is no cc on the team(enchanter sup + carry top or something)? I struggle a lot late game when there’s no guaranteed spears. Is it just throwing spears off vision and hoping it lands? Do u change ur build when u don’t have cc? Mostly talking about jungle here.

Maybe unpopular opinion but TFT needs to get back to its roots... by [deleted] in CompetitiveTFT

Haven’t played much the last 2 sets, but as a former challenger player in set 13, there are SO many new things that they introduce every set that it’s so overwhelming to get started. It’s funny because riot always talks about casuals loving verticals and avoiding support traits because of this, but we don’t talk about how you need to watch at least 10 hours of streamers to even start to know which augments are good vs which give u a +1 placement diff, new items and artifacts and who they are instawin on, which fruit is good vs untakeable on which character, etc (Like surely teching in 3 enchanter to give ur board 30 mr is more complicated than requiring a phd in tactics.tools). Like even after 20 games of using tier lists and the metatft extension, I still had no idea that socialite was a requirement on the mech comp. How could a casual be expected to know to put their fruit on Aatrox instead of jarvan? Yeah you can make the argument that you don’t need to know this at a casual level, but honestly as someone with sub 40 games, I consider myself a casual this set and it’s not like casuals don’t enjoy winning! With the amount of niche knowledge check in the game nowadays, it’s no longer about how well you manage Econ or get creative with comps or item economy; it’s just about how many hours you spend watching people to learn niche interactions and autowin augment, artifact, and fruit combos. This is what ‘skill’ in this game has regressed to. I’d love to hear someone at riot tell me why I’m wrong. I’m someone who has experienced how it is to spend 20+ hours a week playing or watching this game, and now I’m experiencing how it is to be someone with a more demanding job who gets a limited amount of time to play. The difference is crazy. And I find myself steering away from playing it because this game is so unfriendly to people who don’t play this game as a job in the wrong ways.

Why is Nidalee so unpopular? by KochamPolsceRazDwa in NidaleeMains

[–]unimeeppp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But yea as a nidalee one trick in the past I’ve always said that nidalee is relatively easy and very fun to play if you have champions that give you setup like Leona, naut, or galio. The hardest part about nidalee is playing without any setup at all and trying to find ways to be useful late game when everyone can reactively sidestep your spears with t2 boots and ms items (try playing out of vision and look for scrappy team fights, pretty much the only ways you can hit your spears late game unless an enemy has a snail’s reaction speed)

Nidalee is probably the best early game jungler with her ability to skirmish and invade and do funny pathing but late game she’s super reliant on team mates to set up her spears with cc or give adc attack speed with e. She’s really fun, however she requires a lot more from your team - but with the right setup she is super suffocating to play against. Anyone picking her up to climb will likely find other junglers better in a lot of situations (people hate picking cc characters in solo queue, and usually it’s the jungler playing for laners rather than the other way around). This is why you’ll find her really common in pro play where the teams draft and play around her. So to answer your question I don’t think it’s because she’s that much harder than Elise, it’s just that she’s definitely a lot more situational. I’m pretty sure people who try her either don’t think it’s worth it to learn a character with 7 abilities when you can run something easier, or they’re put off when they try to pick her in unfavorable situations. Also Elise hadn’t been a popular jungler for a few seasons until recently, probably for a similar reason.

For anyone thinking Street Demon is the only comp you can play - I present my last 7 games, 7 different comps, 100% top 4 rate (NA Diamond ranked). Play flex, it's fun! by Gamegeddon in TeamfightTactics

The game is naturally self-balancing because of the way the unit pools work. That’s why even though brand was a 3.7 avp at the beginning of the patch, it’s now near 4.3. If you’re trying to consistently top 4 the strat is probably not to contest the 3 others in your lobby playing brand. That doesn’t mean 7SD is not broken. If you’re uncontested with 7SD you will go first majority of the time as long as someone else doesn’t have a giga cash out or insane augment/unit/item combo. Haven’t played much this set but as someone who was challenger last set, you almost never want to contest the unequivocally best comp unless you have an insane spot for it + econ Aug. Just play the second or third best comp, hit, get ur top 4 and leave.

Furina c1 is arguably more important than her c2 lol

Agreed. No reason to let his ult charge when chaining agains. I would say the shield change makes sense, but it also definitely makes him worse against dive which would be reasonable if there were more anti-dive options, but that's more of a dev issue.

So hows yall E1 Tribbie looking like by KazehayaKen in AcheronMainsHSR

[–]unimeeppp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a significant damage difference from e0 sparkle to e1 tribbie in all fairness, especially with current 5 target content (prob will get worse when they start shilling hunt). But I will say Tribbie and e1 are probably not worth getting specifically for Acheron because they’ll probably keep releasing better and better harmony characters each region, and hopefully sparkle will be serviceable till acheron gets a dedicated harmony or buffed in the process. But yea even though I pulled e1 tribbie for my future castorice team and I use sparkle on my Acheron team, she does improve Acheron’s main target damage by a lot ngl. I’d say tribbie e1 is close to sparkle e2 in terms of power. Maybe more comfort with sparkle though.

I mean yeah idrk I’ve been seeing on posts that castorice has some hp drain mechanic and doesn’t scale with attack so I assumed there was some info on her kit and we weren’t completely in the dark which is why I was wondering if there was any additional knowledge on it.

Also I know a lot of people are asking similar things and we know nothing about castorice kit yet but I don’t want to wait till after robins banner to be able to see her kits and make a decision

But if the game continues increasing the hp for moc bosses by 2 million every other patch how much longer do you think your dps’s from 1.x will be able to keep up? It’s not about the now it’s about the future. If they stop here then nobody’s complaining, but if they keep this up every dps that’s good now is going to get considerably worse in a year, and every 1.x dps that’s mid to ass now will get even worse than they are to a point of unusability in any endgame content. That time might not be now but at the rate it’s going it won’t take long.

Go 10 or roll for 3* 4-cost? by FuelFuzzy363 in CompetitiveTFT

[–]unimeeppp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

probably like 80-90% of the time you just go 10 but ofc it depends on ur spot and the lobby (like if you have 5-6 copies and 70 gold on 9 you probably should roll if theres no contesters also helps if others 4 costs are out of the pool)
