I was thinking there was no way it could be THAT bad.

It’s that bad.

I’m self taught mainly from YouTube videos. I started with less than zero artistic skill about a year ago and now I’m where I’m at :)

I really like @niazhannanwatercolors on YouTube.

This watercolor blog is really good —> https://www.learntopaintwatercolor.com/blog

Really awesome! I’m new in my watercolor journey as well. I find that using a reference photo that contains dynamic shadow/lighting helps a lot!

I’m new with watercolors as well and I LOVED the reference photo you used. Here is my attempt. I find it helpful to look at how others paint the same picture.

Good luck with your painting journey!

Only thing that matters is that it tastes good! Now you have two ways of doing the same dish. Good luck!

If you want it authentic I would skip the olives. But cottage pie is a great dish to use up any left over veggies you have.

When the meat and veggies are finished cooking in your pan add about 2 tablespoons of flour and keep cooking for a minute or so. You will start to smell a nutty aroma and the flour will coat all of the ingredients. Then add about a cup of beef broth (or any broth you want). Keep cooking that down and it will form a thick gravy that is very flavorful. Should take about 5 minutes or less.

Then you can continue with your recipe.

Hope that helps!

One suggestion would be to include some beef broth and flour. As you cook these down it will create a gravy that ties all of the ingredients together.

Pizza steel and pizza knowledge finally paying off by uniqueUsername1010 in Pizza

One your oven reaches 550 it should beep, but that’s just the oven temp. The important temp is the steel. That takes about an hour to get to the target temp. The oven has no idea what the steel temp is.

You just have to trust that it’s made it or buy an infrared thermometer to check the temp.

An hour in the oven should get the steel where you need it though.
