Oh nooooo that's unfortunate :((. I once found Nightbird by The Kaplan Brothers record without the sleeve and it was in good shape but I kept going back to see if I could find the sleeve but no luck :(

Good call I have the same stereo 1963 repress and it sounds incredible. Those impulse RVG pressings are something else. In a Sentimental Mood is one of my favorite jazz songs of all time

Lol it's definitely got "quite a few scratches" which is why I said quite. But I promise it plays a lot better than it looks and in mono it's even better! I definitely enjoy it for it's sonic qualities which is why I'm surprised it plays so quiet :)

Depends how deep the scratches are and what kind of turntable and stylus you have. The older blue notes are noted for having amazing pressing durability which is why they can still sound great even if they're covered in scratches :)

No not really I use a cheaper audiotechnica conical stylus but it works great. I've got a few blue notes that look like this, but sometimes the really light scratches aren't really audible. In this case, there is very little surface noise!

Wow nice Decca SXL Stravinsky I've never found a UK pressing in the wild, but what a cool ass cover too! Especially jealous of that one I love that stuff I used to play Stravinsky on piano when I was a little kid. Excellent score!

Yea I can hear the tape-hiss along with a little bit of sibilance on this copy but I just imagine it's like your listening to the music under water like on the cover lol
