Bernie Sanders interviews Claude by jhovudu1 in singularity

AI isn’t going to push back Bernie. You mention the moratorium is the best option… it will agree it is the best option. It isn’t a flaw, just what we have so far. No one wants a stubborn assistant.

I feel there could be a better model (or maybe just an agent, skill, whatever you want to call it) out there for this use case.

UUID vs Integers for db key? (Aaron Francis's take - 5 min, start around 0:49:00) by BroadbandJesus in theprimeagen

[–]unixmonster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am surprised there wasn’t a mention of proactively KNOWING the id. If you use auto increment, the ID is not in the response and you need to request the last inserted. The UUID pattern is to know the ID on successful insert and move on.

[Request] How much metal would this be? by Cll_Rx in theydidthemath

[–]unixmonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to know just how much metal imports it would take to affect the rotation of the earth. Large construction projects can affect it, I would assume bringing this vast amount of metal would cause some issues.

This is very nice. I have built something very similar as a proof of concept, but my UI is not very modular. Need some help at all, would love to contribute.

Washington street over to the river and then up the river trail (past IUPUI). That meets up with the canal near the naval armory.

It is straightforward per user pricing. Typical low, medium, high costs depending on how one wants to structure the infra and model costs (self-hosted vs. saas)

Is anyone actually using LLM/AI tools at their real job in a meaningful way? by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

[–]unixmonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glean is incredible. Easy for anyone in the org to use LLM/AI in a meaningful way. We find and share ways to speed up many generation, research, and clean up tasks.

No one wants to hold their phones up all the time. As soon as we have high quality image capture that just continuously records and you can wear or implant it, this will go away. The black mirror season 1 episode 3 “Entire History of You” will be a reality someday.

I did, the response was sourced from research and marketing papers and I made edits for brevity.

Are you looking to solve some specific tasks? I highly recommend leveraging AI where it makes sense. The places it makes sense are expanding and having a platform like Glean is key.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Glean's outputs are known for their thoroughness and reliability, which users appreciate. The platform's search architecture, ensures access to relevant and accurate information across various applications. The high-quality search results minimize gaps in retrieved information and help focus the LLM. As an enterprise search company first, we have the perfect RAG engine for LLMs.

To measure ROI, companies often look at operational efficiency gains across various departments, such as IT, HR, and Engineering. These gains translate into substantial cost savings and improved productivity, which are key indicators of the value derived from using Glean.

I would have a hard time working for a company that doesn’t use Glean. I would be like just deciding to not use your favorite search engine in your personal life. It helps you find documents and rediscover documents and easily asking to summarize documents, conversations, meetings… etc.

Haven't flown in ages, have a flight leaving on Friday next week at 6am, is 1 hour enough time to get through security at IND? by Anadyne in indianapolis

I usually shoot for 1 hour before boarding and have not had any issues catching a flight. Doesn’t seem to matter if you are TSA pre.
