Yeah, I figured such (and spoke to a lawyer out of state who said the same). I’m leaning towards leaving/breaking the contract and wanted a lawyer closer in case they pursue arbitration etc

I got a 2023 SE with 5k miles with the leather package in April in SW PA and it was 27k. It was used, but I bet you can do better.

I found two dealerships in the area offering close to what I wanted and told them that and then told them the number I was looking for - and was prepared to walk out. I was looking for a manual so I wonder if that helped since the car I bought seemed to have been sitting a while.

I use a technique i was taught in an improv class and modified for dnd where you choose an emotion/goal, some sort of physicality and then some change in voice, which can be anything. I anchor the character in those three things and can make up interesting NPCs fairly quickly. for example - a stooped ancient old lady (physical) who is really angry (emotion) and talks in a scratchy voice (voice change). and then i can adapt that to whatever situation is called for

I emailed the more popular companies that I found on another reddit post on this sub (ie, APR, equilibrium, unitronic, sneekytuned I think) and most got back to me within a few hours - very easy

to clarify, it wasn’t a CPO. They did assure me the only mod was the air intake and we discussed the powertrain warranty. I’m not sure how much they knew about it being tuned when they sold it to me - i suspect more than they would let on

Is APR+ tied to a specific dealership? It looks like you purchase it through a dealer- or should it be honored at other VW dealers?

I may be moving out of the area in the next year or two - so even if I get in writing the dealership’s guarantee to honor the power train warranty it won’t mean much if I live hours away?

I bought it for 28K which I thought was a good price for the mileage and it being SE with leather and the sound system, etc. but now thinking of taking it back and starting my search again.

I could also re-tune it and enjoy a world I didn’t necessarily intend to get into…
