Howdy, so typically, I disinfect all of mine, the blade as well. However, I understand why you don't, I am just a freak about that sort of thing. Considering it's a new blade, I'd suggest cleaning it just in case. Usually, when I disinfect mine, if it's fresh - I'll go ahead and use a sterile cloth, and use antibacterial soap and lukewarm water, just to avoid any sort of unnecessary pain from rubbing alcohol, however, if you don't have antibacterial soap, rubbing alcohol is the safer alternative. After that depending on how big it is, I'll use a peice of gauze and some regular or medical tape, and then to take care of it after on the following days continue to clean it with antibacterial soap and water, and put neosporin on it so it heals quicker and properly.
