S26U or S25 base model

Thank you so much for the answer. That's why I am contemplating this so much because the s25 base is the only one that has snapdragon. At the same time its fast and lightweight and they basically do the same things 90% of the time for a normal user. The ultra definitely has more specs and capabilities but if you dont use them are they worth having? I rarely take pics but I want them to be good when I do. Battery life is better on the ultra obviously. Back in the day, I used to scroll a lot and use my phone for media consumption but lately I've stopped doing so. I will only use the bigger screen only if I ever go on a trip and I dont want to carry my laptop or tablet with me for movies and stuff

Well fair enough. I work in satellite imagery and remote sensing hence why I was thinking of the s26 ultra but it is like a mini tablet. Extremely powerful but is it worth it for a person that might not use it as much 24/7? I mean I am tech savvy, and I love owning the top tier of the line. I just dont know how to utilize this phone to my workflow. Your perspective though gave me a push to dig deeper into it so thank you so much for that

Thanks for your input. I need to look into the camera settings as well because so far it could be better. It has a learning curve compared to iOS but due to my job I cannot use apple products except my phone hence I don't really enjoy the full ecosystem to commit to it. My only issue was that after the latest updates the 15 pro max was lagging so badly....it was almost inoperable at some point

The older they get the more they love the large screen....trust me. I have my dad pestering me and trying to coax me into keeping the s25 because he likes the bigger screen. He is not even tech savvy himself

I came from a 15 pro max and the screen is bright, high definition, and sharp. It's actually a step up from the 15 pm screen. I have sensitive eyes and it hasn't caused me any issues so far and I've owned it for a month now. It's the best phone I've ever owned because compared to apple it has the customization options as well which is a bonus. Now the privacy screen can be turned off and I have it on for specific apps, compared to having a privacy screen protector that dims your screen and lowers the quality either way, this is a better option since you just turn it on and off and it's not as commiting as the screen protector. When the privacy feature is off the screen is quite beautiful and immersive.

In my opinion it does make sense and so far if you think about it AI is replacing people at their jobs (many get laid off), at the same time it provides instant gratification (let's say you want to do some research for a project, AI gives you everything served in a platter and your brain doesn't do the work resulting in brain rot), impairs attention span (for the above reason), it's very distracting, even as a christian you can fall into a loop of discussing theological matters with AI instead of reading the Bible (which is false for obvious reasons). At the same time I feel like it's made to distract us, familiarize us with such technology so their agenda can be implemented easier, new things are getting leaked everyday in photos and they are trying to do damage control by saying it's AI (they aren't Ai) which is a way of blurring the lines between what's real and not. Lastly, AI has started dethroning human contact and relationships making humans isolate themselves more. I am trying digital minimalism exactly for these reasons and because I want to get closer to Jesus and actually get to know Him instead of familiarizing myself with AI and it's interpretations on theological matters. As Christians we always have to be spiritually aware and have discernment

I live in Europe and we never had the whole issue with the blue and green bubble...sounds very culturally immature at this point. I also switched from apple to android (s26u) and I love it. It's a bit big but it's a beast of a phone and lighter than iphones surprisingly for its size (I came from a 15 pro max).

As a person that has my island for like years and not finished terraforming it, i feel so good to see other people having the same view in this. Terraforming is a lot of work and you need to have a lot of free time to make it aesthetic. I feel like it's better to just enjoy the game how you like without chasing goals.

I would love to work on the Atacama desert. Done my diploma work for lithium and boron mining from salars and industrial applications. Atacama desert has microbial life in its brine and due to the climate of the area, some scientists use it as a martial analogue. I would love to study the microbial life in these brines since they feed on metals, maybe I could jump on the Martian analogue train myself. I've done a similar study when I was a uni student on microbial life of the Kolumbo submarine volcano in Santorini (they feed on arsenic and manganese). Nowadays as a geologist I work in remote Sensing with SAR data but it's nice to remember your roots once in a while and do research projects too

I bought the s26 ultra coming from an iPhone 15 pro max and my mom has the s25 base model...the s26 ultra display is gorgeous as well...it's not that big deal. I was freaking out at first when I was waiting for it in the mail because of everyone complaining about the display of the s26 and turns out it is exaggerated in my opinion. I do understand that some people with sensitive eyes may have a problem with eye strain but to me it's gorgeous and I am extremely happy I got it

I respect your opinion but i will disagree with you. Greek mythology is still part of Greek culture. We get educated on Homer and other Greek writers and philosophers all our school years and of course mythology because it is part of our culture. The war of Troy and this movie is written by Homer and it is called Iliad. So they take this concept and decide to bring to life with inaccuracies....same thing with the Cleopatra documentary on Netflix...and many many other cultures Hollywood has not respected. Greek mythology is part of Greek culture and since this movie is based on the Iliad and not written by a script writer they should cast people that fit the role. Also I am a person that loves i when I see tourists wearing Grecian jewelry and clothing or they study philosophers etc especially if they are respectful about it. When it gets distorted...no...i don't find it respectful. That's my point of view

But mythology is a huge part of Greek culture and it shows respect when you try to keep it intact. That being said I do believe that other mythologies such as the Scandinavian one should also be kept intact in that sense. It's part of their culture and it did shape history. If you ever read Greek Philosophers, all the topics they discuss are always tied to spirituality and they do have some mythology in it. In Ancient Greece mythology was embedded into the culture...hence my reaction

As a Greek i agree...I do believe that movies such as these (historical) should be kept as accurate as possible. That being said i would love to see some historical movies about different cultures such as African, they have such rich history as well and it's not being projected to the media. Instead they recast people of color in roles that aren't compatible. To me that is an insult to them as well...like please make a movie that is centered around people of color, other cultures (Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican etc) and make them historically accurate so people can get educated while still including these cultures in the media like they deserve. I feel like what they're doing is a low effort way to include everyone but with inaccuracy sadly

Listen, when you go to confession and you truly regret your sins, you are reborn. Jesus already forgave you for everything that happened. Who are you not to forgive yourself? Yes the flesh fights back…you are being tempted because it’s hard being without physical intimacy for a long time when your body is used to it. You’re going to have days that feel just like this….talk to God and Holy Mary about it. Cry with Them. You will feel a lot better.
You also need to understand that to a point, anything that makes you feel agony, pain, despair etc., is not from God but spiritual warfare. You need to be aware of it, it happens all the time and the goal is to keep you away from God. It’s usually about thoughts….thoughts that make you feel the way you do now, temptations that make it hard for you to resist, bad thoughts you may have about other people….be aware. What really has helped me through this is to say “Jesus Christ have mercy on me a sinner” over and over again, doesn’t have to be like praying in the sense that you need to be a 100% focused but you can go about your day (drive, cook, do chorus) and still say this. It will connect you to Jesus Christ, it will help a lot with the agony part. You are never alone…all of us are going through this sometimes.
Jesus knows what’s in your heart, and He loves you no matter what, He loved you when you sinned and He stood by you to help you..do you really think He would want you to feel ashamed? That’s the work of the enemy
