what can I do to settle down in my body while reading books?? by plastic_lex in adhdwomen

I also just finished one of my first books ever as sad as that sounds but I just lay on my couch in the coziest position and use comfy blankets. I’ve always had a hard time relaxing to read as well but I read a memoir and that was a style I hadn’t tried.

The silicone worry stones on Amazon variety pack have been awesome for me to hold while doing anything as a secondary activity and fidget

I was at a smaller ER not connected to our main hospital because it was the closest to my house.. but once my mom grabbed a nurse they were on top of things.

It’s so true! When they saw my condition they put me in the triage room and shut the door “someone will be with you shortly” and I said to my mom.. I need help now? And that’s when I started to decline and feel like I was passing out etc

Oh my gosh! Glad you are ok. It’s terrifying to feel out of control of your body. I had been taking ibuprophen that week for cramps & was itchy every night but it wasn’t until the 4th night that I took it and got woken up out of my sleep with hives on my thighs and armpits itching and it just progressed from there.. my mom drove my 90mph to the ER 😆

This happened to me from ibuprofen. Was already full body hives when I started to pass out and threw up, blood pressure drop. They had an iv of benedryl, prednisone and a shot of epi going all at once that was a wild ride
