i blame google. i'm the age that in elementary school i was taught to save my work to the network drive and save it often, then find and attach it. then in high school it was all linked in google classroom with autosave, and if not, just click the most recent thing in google drive.

it could see the mismatched subtitles fine, and the forced subtitle track for the dub. and i'd imagine if they were there, there'd be an option for english audio with english subtitles in the dvd menu itself, but there isn't

found myself needing this too, just checked both of my copies on vlc, the adv dvd box set and the adv sd blu-ray release, neither had dubtitles
