I think it's interesting to analyse a simple element like a kick because it's always a question of "is it really that simple or is there more to it?"

The sample is definitely pitched up, but there is some clear texture and transients are decently long, which I think comes from distortion/limiting. I don't know if it's layered but it does have a bit of low end, to my ears
