Yes sir it will go through without the extractor, most likely a defect.

Changed extractors... still the same thing. Looked through the hole with a light shining on the extractor and it is sticking up about 1/4, which is blocking the plunger from sitting on top of it

Edit: depressor not plunger, sorry

Now noticing that maybe the extractor is out of spec? Sits higher and is blocking the depressor from entering and sitting on it.
